HAPPY NEW YEAR..... sorry it's early, but I suffer from premature congratulation.

WHSmith, Poole only had 3 copies in according to Diane, when I got mine there was only 1 left.

Came round to Holes Bay, one flounder came to the surface and then let go of the bait. Fished there for awhile then went back out and tried Baiter/Parkstone Bay and over by Brownsea. No more bites and came in at 2.

Taking Keith (aka Beachcaster) out tomorrow after flounders. After blanking last Thursday, I thought I'd give Holes Bay a try. Any better ideas?

I hope you all have more luck on Sunday than I had today. We tried various places in the harbour, as did Trevor on Geddar, loads of schoolies pinching the bait, but not a single Flounder.

Well that was interesting and cold. Took new member Keith (aka Beachcaster). Fog cleared at Rockley about 10 ish, so having scrapped the ice of the boat, we headed up towards Gigger's Island, dropped the anchor, got the rods in and sat back with a cup of coffee to try and thaw out, Next thing we knew the fog suddenly came back, thicker than before. Sat it out for a while hopping it would lift again, but it didn't. Decided to move back and finish off on a mooring at Rockley. Couldn't see the channel markers, so using the plotter retraced the route and crawled back very slowly. No bites a few crabs, but it was nice to get out and even nicer to get home and warm up.
