Hi Matthew Thanks for your payment and welcome to the club, I've emailed you a New Members Welcome Pack and Membership Form and copied it to Martin to arrange upgrading you to Club Member, you'll then have access to the Members Area of the club site. We meet first Thursday of every month, next meeting Thursday 3rd November, the details are in the Welcome Pack. At the Nov meeting we're having a "Table Top Sale", where there should be a few bargains to be had.

Clive Someone on WSF is looking for something similar, so I've posted a link to your advert on there.

No. Just that my chart was about 3 years old.

Navionics Gold Just upgraded my "Navionics Gold Small Area Chart" to" Navionics Plus UK, Ireland and Holland". If you have an eligible card it's half price at £99. (includes 12 months daily updates). You can do it online and write the new chart to your old card, or as I did, buy the upgrade card in Piplers (Force 4) and activate it with an old chart card from Navionics or other brands. By buying the upgrade card and downloading to that you get to keep your original chart which will still work in your plotter, although you can't upgraded it again. Navionics Plus includes "Sonar Chart".

So, who's going to try attracting cod with an underwater speaker attached to their trace?

Hi Chris That explains why I received £39 from Graham when he's already a member. Welcome to the club. Click the button top right and create an account, I'll then arrange for you to have access to the Members Area. Regards Brian

EATING IN THE FIFTIES and SIXTIES Pasta was not eaten in Australia. Curry was a surname. A takeaway was a mathematical problem. A pizza was something to do with a leaning tower. All potato chips were plain; the only choice we had was whether to put the salt on or not. Rice was only eaten as a milk pudding. Calamari was called squid and we used it as fish bait. A Big Mac was what we wore when it was raining. Brown bread was something only poor people ate. Oil was for lubricating, fat was for cooking. Tea was made in a teapot using tea leaves and never green. Sugar enjoyed a good press in those days, and was regarded as being white gold. Cubed sugar was regarded as posh. Fish didn't have fingers in those days. Eating raw fish was called poverty, not sushi. None of us had ever heard of yoghurt. Healthy food consisted of anything edible. People who didn't peel potatoes were regarded as lazy. Indian restaurants were only found in India. Cooking outside was called camping. Seaweed was not a recognised food. "Kebab" was not even a word, never mind a food. Prunes were medicinal. Surprisingly, muesli was readily available, it was called cattle feed. Water came out of the tap. If someone had suggested bottling it and charging more than petrol for it, they would have become a laughing stock!! But the one thing that we never ever had on our table in the sixties .....Elbows or Phones!

I've had a reply from IFCA. Hello Mr Runyard Thank you for informing us of the error on the website. The EU legislation overrides the information in the leaflet but we are unable to change the wording as that would be changing the original legislation. I have temporarily added notes to the webpage and a link to the DEFRA page that gives details of the change. If this is still confusing I will remove the individual leaflets. Please leave this with me and I will endeavour to find/provide a better leaflet. Regards Debbie Vivian Finance and Administration

Another vote for blocked heat exchanger. A boat I used to have the use of in exchange for maintenance had the same problem. Under load it got hot enough for the cap to vent, therefore coolant disappeared with no apparent leak.

I've edited the above post, I'd left a zero out of the account number.

Happy birthday Nigel.

Bottom Towed Fishing Gear Byelaw 2016 and Solent Dredge Fishing Byelaw
Brian replied to Rob's topic in Conservation Issues
The documents are Byelaws, not proposals. According to the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009, they have the power to make the byelaw. The following sentence is in the both documents "I hereby certify that the above byelaw was made by Southern Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority at their meeting on 22nd September 2016". -
SIFCA need to update their Regulations, https://secure.toolkitfiles.co.uk/clients/25364/sitedata/files/BassNurseryPoole.pdf it states the minimum size for Bass is 36cm. I've emailed SIFCA.

Just want to say that I took some leaflets into Purbeck Angling, Wareham, today. Dean was very friendly and more than willing to display our leaflets and offered to put any posters advertising forthcoming events.
