  1. I second Rockley. £1800 for 16.5ft for 12 months. Boat lifted in within approx 10 mins. When you come back they lift it out, pressure wash and flush the engine and no need to anti foul. Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk
  2. Looks ok Do you think these bargains are a sign of the times, or due to the weather last year and people not getting enough use out of them.
  3. Definitely underpowered, Sea Sparkle is a Merry Fisher 580 and when Derek bought it, it had a 60hp Mercury. It was right on the limit for planning, therefore kept dropping off the plane.
  4. Dave I've gat a trailer that's big enough but I'll need to get a puncture repaired first. If I can get it done you're welcome to borrow it.
  5. This looks like a bargain, if genuine, although it would need a larger engine (90hp). http://www.boatsandoutboards.co.uk/offshore-cruisers/jeanneau-merry-fisher-580-grp-cruiser-2002-PAA90920
  6. I'd go for an Icom or Standard Horizon.
  7. Yes that's the one. http://www.gaelforcemarine.co.uk/51828/Trem-Outboard-Motor-Bracket-20hp.html?referrer=FROOGLE&gclid=CKX_1ZG7pL0CFYjLtAodR0oAmQ
  8. The bracket was supplied by Warrior's, next time I visit the boat I'll see if there's a maker's name. The outboard is a Longshaft Suzuki DF5.
  9. How big are your trim tabs, my aux misses my tabs by a mile.
  10. Happy Birthday Craig.
  11. I thought I might pop down to Rockley tomorrow afternoon, to see if they've received the warning. I'd be more than a trifle upset if they took mine again.
  12. David Butcher put his on the PBSBAC Facebook page. Warning the East European thieves are back down south again. Please pass on the warning to clubs/marinas etc. Warning note sent from Hampshire. Keep a watch out ladies and gents they are active again down South! Please feel free to forward to other businesses/yards around Poole. If the message arrives twice I don't think people will mind. ... David Stolen RIB from HILLHEAD Sailing Club, Hampshire. (No other details at this stage.) Hi All We have suffered 4 outboard thefts from the same compound in Yarmouth, Isle of Wight in the last few days. Please note:- Early investigations indicate that this was carried out by an organised crime gang of Lithuanian males using hire vans and other vehicles displaying English registrations (owned by them) as support vehicles on the day of the theft. There is strong evidence suggesting the gang used a 4x4 vehicle to carry out a reccy of the targeted premises about 7 days before the theft. Please be alert to this and record number plates of any suspicious vehicles at your marinas and sailing clubs - they predictably target the more 'out of the way' premises so we would deem these to be most at risk. Both of these messages came from... Matthew Gransden | PC 22177 SB Marine Unit | Marine Unit Office, Southern Support and Training Headquarters, Hamble Lane, Hamble, SOUTHAMPTON, SO31 4TS DDI: 02380 450831 | (Int: 71-3401| Mob: 07774 684317| Any information especially re. suspicious vehicles, 101 and ask for Marine officers of Poole SNT sergeant and/or Marine Unit Office in Southampton. Again 101 but ask for Hampshire. Just about to send out when another message came through from Tristan Oliver, this time a Honda engine from Keyhaven... They are moving this way!!! David

    Wednesday

Tried several different tactics, but all to no avail, but it was a lovely day to be on the water. Flat calm, out and back through the harbour at 30 knts, making the most of it before the speed limit comes back on.
