Chicken Surprise A couple go for a meal at a Chinese restaurant and order the 'Chicken Surprise', The waiter brings the meal, served in a lidded cast iron pot. Just as the wife is about to serve herself, the lid of the pot rises slightly and she briefly sees two beady little eyes looking around before the lid slams back down. 'Good grief, did you see that?' she asks her husband. He hasn't, so she asks him to look in the pot. He reaches for it and again the lid rises, and he sees two little eyes looking around before it slams down.. Rather perturbed, he calls the waiter over, explains what is happening, and demands an explanation. 'Please,' says the waiter, 'What you ohder?' The husband replies, 'Chicken Surprise.' PLEASE SCROLL DOWN 'Ah! So solly,' says the waiter, 'I bling you Peeking Duck!'

Sam and I are lucky and do not feel the effects much Dan used to really suffer, he tried the wrist bands with limited success Then he tried eating dry ginger biscuits, they are now his preferred remedy. He has now grown out of it,as others have said regular trips helped, as does having a skipper who will take you in if you are really bad. but still eats the biscuits. Other things to avoid are; Hangovers Greasy food Being over tired Fizzy drinks and in my case Pork Pies Try to avoid looking down into the boat for long periods. It is much better to be in fresh air and looking at the horizon.

Navionics charts. and bits, Which do anglers prefer.
great white replied to Wedger's topic in Boat Talk
I use the gold chart, nice to use and accurate I believe that the size of the set determines if the sounder unit and transducers are included small ones come with it built in , the larger ones have a seperate box and transducer for more power and more choices. You can buy the plotter without the sounder, marketed by the mod No and M [Map only] Hope that helps -
Nice to read that the 4 blade makes a big improvement and is therefore a good investment. That is the reason I went for the Duo Prop during build. Its never been about the WOT, although it is fun to have a blast at 30 knots occasionally. Especially when sports boats wave at the fishingboat as they go by, then look a bit shocked with our acceleration and speed. Its sustained cruising at reasonable consumption that is our main concern. If we can not plane it affects our fuel consumption , but not as badly as Adam describes. Charlie

Are we talking about the prop, or boat racing You know we do not race Awol Martin, its depressing to lose that often

Does that mean we will have that little race again this year Adam Lol

Hi Mick I have just discussed this with our engineer, He has done this by fileing a slight chamfer on the trailing edge, as discribed in Nigel's article. He tends to do so with just a few strokes of a decent file, so does not take anywhere near as much off as the drawing in that article shows. Ian's belief is that it is the tips that sing, so he only chamfers the trailing edge about a third in from the tip. If you can not tell from the prop which is the trailing edge going forward. You will know the correct Direction of Rotation of the engine/ shaft so you can work it out from that. Hope that this helps, and your singing stops or is greatly reduced Charlie

Sorry Mick Got a bit distracted with work I will try my best to remember tomorrow give me a call 07887 794716 Charlie

Yes mate I have one, in front of the three bladed one that runs in the other direction. Bloody clever these duo props. Seriously I would discuss with Volvo mate to see what they suggest. I do not know how well they work on legs. On shaft drives they work very well to eliminate vibration and improve performance. Charlie
