Hi Nick welcome to the Club As others have said joining is probably a huge short cut to increased knowledge and a few more fish Try starting around the spoil area Anchor uptide of a feature so that after paying out lots of warp you remain uptide of it. Use downtide fishing tactics, mackerel or squid baits and you should get a few decent fish Good luck Charlie

Been there done that

we had lines over the back [well braid actually] a rib at speed was passing so close across my transom he was in danger of getting it across his throat, that would have been messy. I had an anchor ball up but not fishing signs , so I wonder what would happen Charlie I belive that it is about time that boat drivers should be qualified to at least powerbaot level 2 Charlie

It seems like we were going in the oposite direction to most today. But with the forecast as it was having the tide and wind behind us at the end of the day seemed like a good idea We had plenty of fish between the two of us and enjoyed a great day. Report to follow

My experiance of the calculation tables for tope is not good When I used to be in the tagging program I weighed and measured them. When comparing the actual to the estimated weight they were at least 10% out either way. I weigh them in an old mail sack, which supports their vital organs during the process Charlie
