  1. Good luck mate I hope the toys all work, if you need a few numbers give me a call. We will miss you, as we know how much you were looking forward to it. I am sure bending a rod on your own boat will make up for it. Charlie
  2. Tight lines guys, hpe the fishes are biting. We hope to be passing the chains before 7 , so if you are up early give us a call on 6. Charlie
  3. Terry I think Dan's choice was; Dan ...... Kiln Farm beef burgers, plain ir chilli and coriander. Martin Would you like to just call Mark and pay over the phone, you could wait until you know we are there if you want to be sure. But if we do not make it I am sure Manta Ray will Rob The boat was designed by Dan so that you can lower the centre chain at the back and run from the cabin, over the engine box and straight over the stern. There is a ladder on the back to get back onboard, providing that you can swim at 20 knots to catch us up. "Hands to bathe" mid channel would add another story to the long list we already have after 4 1/2 years Charlie
  4. No Problem Martin No doubt I will be in Marks shop LOL Charlie
  5. Happy to do that for you Kam and anyone else that wants to place an order with Mark Charlie
  6. Sorry about that Rob All sorted with the crews now I believe, and thanks to Terrys hard work the lads that need it have accomadation. But I think there is a space available on Mrs Sea if anyone else wanted to come Lets hope the weather is OK Mainbrayce are still looking after us with fuel and water taxi prices. Charlie
  7. Nigel thinks that he may be very busy at work when he goes back tomorrow. In fact so busy that he may not be able to come. He has accomadation booked ashore. If anyone would like to take his place if he has to drop out , both on the boat and in the accomadation, please give me a call 07887 794716 Charlie
  8. Done simular in New Zealand Certainly gets the pulse going
  9. Hi Guys I have just come off the phone from Dave We have talked through all the plans this week as you would expect. The best that we can see at the moment is to let it blow through and then go on Sunday. Mon, Tue. I am waiting for an update from Nigel when he gets back to the UK Dave and I probably need to work on Wed, but are willing to have a late return. Terry you will get a call from Dave this morning. Craig and Ashley are looking to see if they can arrange these dates, as is Dan What are the other crews able to do?? Charlie
  10. Bloody Weather Adam that weather window has moved so many times, its like trying to pin a tail on a Donkey. [A live one running down hill] If you want a laugh, go to metcheck and click on the 14 day forecast for BH14, It looks like we will all need a bucket of Factor 30 sun cream, and have to fit some air conditioning to keep us cool in the still airs. Fat chance of that. Charlie
  11. Bloody Weather Its starting to P me off now. Charlie
  12. What Bait?? Duracells
  13. Hi Graham Me also, as although I spoke to some people during the day, later on I could not get Dave. Nigel's idea of a hand held, is what many of us use as a backup, and a way of chatting when fishing on the drift away from the main set. Charlie
  14. Best charter just over 3lb and best private boat just under. 54 anglers and most struggled in the breezy conditions Charlie
  15. Just in case Charlie ..... Rib eye Kiln Farm steak marinated in red wine Dan ...... Kiln Farm beef burgers, plain ir chilli and coriander Thanks Terry, lets hope that we get there Charlie
  16. Yes Rob , But Nige is chilling on a mediteranian Island, so has yet to reach the correct level of pre Alderney planning. Charlie
  17. Nice to see you out on your new boat yesterday Graham Did not hear you on the radio, and I could not remember your call sign, so sorry for not chatting. She looks a good fishing boat, I am sure you will soon Iron out the wrinkles. Charlie
  18. Hi Alun I am sure we are all checking the weather, I had considered going over Thursday evening, but that would be a bit of a nightmare logistically. What about very very early Fri am? Charlie

  20. Terry I will see Dan at about 10 tonight and sort that out, in case the forecast changes. Hi Mark I have been coming to the Island for 25 years, and the general attitude seems not to have changed much. We used to stay in the moorings weekly, while they were happy for us to occupy the bar and spend money, early breakfasts were frowned upon. It is a great shame that more of the others do not have your attitude mate, I know that you have worked endless hours trying to get your message accross. If they just realised the potential earnings from Charter boats and groups like ours, the Island as a whole would benifit. Having pubs that will not feed you after 8pm , Mooring buoys on the jetty instead of in the water, tender pontoon not ready are all things that must go towards a tendancy for some boats to bypass Alderney and head on towards the other Islands or France. Not us Mark, we love Alderney and all that it has to offer us. I just wish it was a little nearer so that we could come in shorter weather windows. Still hoping to see you later this week Charlie
  21. Love to Adam But my crew and I are working until the weather changes later in the week. Charlie

  23. It would be a great help to know Neal and has anyone heard anything about Andy's comp? Charlie
  24. Its not what you see on the internet Graham Its what you get under the hull and across the deck mate This morning the internet sites look reasonable, yet on the TV they predict a wet and windy Sunday. Charlie
  25. If you, like Duncan, are willing to work it out for yourselves have a look here http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/avnpanel1.html I have not been using this long, but it was accurate last week when the weather broke up and stopped us going to Alderney. the multiple pages give you 9 days, but click on one and you get a bigger image. This was passed to me by Mike Fox , so it would be rude to take credit for it Charlie
