Pretty much what we did Rob Painted several boats with differant AF, noted which had what and compared at 3 month haul out intervals Not that much differance, not always dearest that works best But we now go by word of mouth amongst 400 cruising boats that we take out each winter, off course most are yachts and use self erroding. the faster boats use harder I used seajet this year, so theres a hint. and the darker the paint the better it works mines black Charlie

Jotan is a good hard antifoul but builds up in hard layers and eventually starts to come off in chunks Dave were you using three year antifoul before? Not wanting to be rude but if you were with all that growth last year, its not much of an advert mate. Adam We have done extensive tests on the Club boats [we have 14] over the years and every time we think we have it sussed they change the formula again Recently we have found seajet to be good, not as dear as Blakes or International Pete at Quay West is a good start point Charlie

I would think they are not the easiest thing to modify/cut are you sure its not easier just to cut the line , thread one on and retie knot? Charlie

Hi All One of the lads from the WSF has just booked his boat in with me in the Yacht Club marina for 10 days from Thursday. He is a keen fisherman with a nice 6.2m boat and is going to try and get a variety of fishing in. Paul is coming alone and has offered a space to anyone who fancies a trip to share knowledge and fuel costs. also interested in maybe going out in company of a Club boat for safety reasons. I will not put contact details up but if anyone is interested let me know and I will put you in touch. Sam is on leave and when Wendy and I are away on the boat next week, so he may well take up a trip. Charlie

Thanks Tony I was trying to add those pictures for you, but the email sent is so big it stalls my system at home and I could not even reply. Was the Fish hooked in the Tail or is that a crazy Fred landing system? I have fin hooked a few tope in the past and they are hard to fight that way, I imagine a big shark would be far far worse. Marina Channel M is usually 37a I think that you may struggle to get 80 on that set I used to have one on my dory, but had no need for Marina's in that boat, so I can not remember if I had 80 Charlie

Some of the problems could be incorrect squelch setting set too high and you will not hear much Charlie

I am working due to a sailing racing event on sunday That usually means no wind so I get a long frustrating day at work, while looking at my boat on her mooring out of the window, with perfect fishing weather. So you should be fine Charlie

Jim If you click on Forums, top of home page just under the Club Logo, you should open the page that shows all of the forums Then click on the relevant heading In this case maybe "wanted" or "the lounge" there are a few hints alongside each heading to help select which to use. then add new topic and continue as before hope that helps Charlie

Hi Andy If budget is tight talk to Matt at MES I bought mine second hand from him [removed from a boat when they upgraded] price was sensible and it works fine I even have a second hand one at work available but its an old style set. Charlie
