  1. Perhaps a PM to niggle may be a good source of advice on this one.
  2. Tight lines mate hope you do well I will ask my mate Steve Britton what his boat is called and which Club he fishes for, you may see him at the comp That would be good two old members of PBSBAC fishing with each other in Auckland Charlie
  3. yes unfortunately a reminder to all of us of the power of the sea. I wonder if the big wave hitting her on the port side as she recovered pots on the stbd side combined to make her roll. One to think about when steaming the anchor out in rough weather. Charlie
  4. Its now Gary Rory Dan and I If the weather allows we will be pushing out Tight lines to all Looking forward to the reports Charlie

    Birthday

Happy Birhday Paul Have a great one mate. Why not talk Helen into letting you join us for a wreck trip on Saturday. Charlie
  6. I think that none of us will cry ourselves to sleep over a commercial fisherman that damages the seabed having to stop But lets not gloat untill we are sure that all the fisherman that fish in those areas do not just head into our area, they have already finished up in the channel islands We also want to be sure these SAC do not affect Recreational Sea Anging Charlie
  7. It looks like Saturday now I think Rory is joining Dan and I for a wrecking trip We have room for one more if anyone fancys it let me know. Dave [WM] are you out this weekend? Charlie
  8. PJ It was hard to resist asking the obvious. . . . . Oh go on then, are they calamari?? Charlie
  9. the biggest squid I have caught off of Poole was about 4.5lb and looked massive. I believe the ones they are having problems with in the states are at least 20 times bigger and a danger to scuba divers. We do not want them here, they are eating all the fish stocks. Thanks Mike for the interest I will call you when a bit nearer the weekend. No other boats looking at the Lull on Sat? Charlie
  10. Looks a good boat I would also go for the Cuddy version, It actually looks very simular to how my Wilson Flyer finished up. I took the bulkhead off and made the cabin into a Cuddy. The changes lightened the boat and upped the performance, but better than that was the ability to sit back and dodge the cold wind and rain while fishing. Charlie
  11. Anyone going out on the small tides this weekend? I am keeping an eye on which day is best weather with the hope to push out a bit As I say I am not even sure which day yet, so its all up in the air, But if other boats are out there it would be good to know Also not sure about crew yet, I may have a space or two If anyone is interested post or call This time I hope to drift and anchor a wreck Charlie
  12. Good luck with the sale Alan Charlie
  13. Glad you found the problem, its just a cheap part that has been well used and worn out Charlie
  14. Great fish mate well done Charlie

  16. Good Luck Mike I am sure that there are Huss marks about, its our ones that are further out the edges of the whitehouse grounds have been good in the past for eels Tight lines Charlie

  18. Happy Birthday mate have a good one Charlie
  19. Hi all well sods law has struck again Nice tides at the weekend but working sat morning and out in the evening means I miss out on a nice forecast Sunday is clear but the weathers pants The weather is now looking good for a trip tomorrow after work getting back in the dark, now I could sneak out alone and try for a few species Or if someone is available and would like to join me we could adventure further out to a lump of rust or sneak along the coast with worms for the ellusive flatty in the dark I will have at least two spaces, if anyone is available and wants to join me at the Club at about 5 you know the score give my mobile a call 07887 794716 sorry for short notice, I had a few things to do before a trip could be arranged Charlie
  20. There were a lot of rays caught on those banks in the Open Mike Congers on the edge of the whithouse grounds or maybe southbourne rough we tend to get Huss much further out Tight lines Charlie
  21. Hi Paul Nice one mate It has picked out the best since the recording started on the website forum they will just need cross checking with the old records from prior to that. Unfortunately probably a bit of a chore as we have several long standing records, Ling Cod Pollack to name a few Work in progress
  22. The problem with this is the confusion being caused between which fish were taken for the table and those returned. Shall we try this?? Biggest Fish caught 1) Will Sumerell 4lb 8oz 2) Stuart Sumerell 4lb 3) Charlie Chapman 5lb 4) Rob Francis 7lb 5) Charlie Annear 8lb 6oz 6) Craig White 5 lb 7) Pete Russell 3lb 14oz 8] Mike Fox 2lb 15oz 9) Carol Fox 12oz biggest retuned fish, if any 1) Will Sumerell 4lb 8oz 2) Stuart Sumerell 4lb 3) Charlie Chapman 3lb 4) Rob Francis 1lb 6 5) Charlie Annear 8lb 6oz 6) Craig White none 7) Pete Russell 3lb 14oz TBC ?? 8) Mike Fox 2lb 5oz 9) Carol Fox 12oz Does that help?
  23. Tight lines hope you and Terry have fun and catch fish May the sun shine on calm Irish waters loaded with fish If you get a Bluefin let us know keep the reports flowing Charlie
  24. Hi Rob I think it is a bass comp for the best fish as usual, with additional prizes down the list this year with an additional trophy for the best returned fish, so both ways of listing are in fact now correct, except yours are in size order. Charlie
  25. Bass Kept: 1) Will Sumerell 3lb 2) Stuart Sumerell 3lb 3) Charlie Chapman 5lb Bass Returned: 1) Will Sumerell 4lb 8oz 2) Stuart Sumerell 4lb 3) Charlie Chapman about 3lb Can you copy and paste the above to keep the list neat!
