  1. Nice one Mike you sound as if you enjoyed some sport in the breeze Tom Baker was showing Dan a few hints on mulleting last week and he really does know how to get them to take bread. We look forward to taking a few hints next summer Well done Charlie
  2. Gary is going out on Prodigy with Amber and perhaps Tom Baker please accept this as his booking in, as he was late finishing things for my new boat and has gone out. charlie
  3. Oh dear never mind, one less dickhead charlie
  4. Thanks guys I have those ordered I will check to see if it includes the press day and come back to you if anyone else is interested let me know with enough warning I can get more Rergards Charlie
  5. Adam Who are you dealing with at PMS? We had simular problems with two 40 HP Honda 4 strokes so they should have an idea what was required to fix them. Call me on the mobile if you can stand to talk through it all Sorry to hear that so many Members are out of action, I thought it was just me missing out on this fine weather Charlie Charlie
  6. Hi all I have access to about a dozen southampton boat show tickets at
  7. Thanks Dave's Actually Matt is able to beat the prices from both your sources so I will probably go back to him Nice to support the local businesses. On the plotter though they could not get what I wanted or anywhere near the price I paid Charlie
  8. What a great fish hell of a catch, and a wonderfull angling jesture to catch and release a fish that makes the existing record look small. I hope that the angler gets the praise he deserves in the Press I have read through some of the forum comments, It is worryng to see the Anti Angling views getting such a strong following. Charlie

    Rope

Rob I would think that 10mm nylon is more than strong enough if you are happy hauling it. when you have buoyed it up there will be hardly any weight to pull in. I would suggest that a little more chain would help set the anchor and using as big a lifting buoy as you are able to stow will help to hold the weight. If you are unable to splice the join I could help you with that if you can get the ropes to me Charlie
  10. My new Lowrance arrived yesterday Its the muts nuts Hard to get in the UK but easy in the states, PM me if you want to know where mine came from go for this years model the definition is better, daylight viewing is great While on the subject does anyone know where to get the best priced Navionics gold charts? Charlie
  11. Hi Dan Glad the trailer is sorted and sounds as if the first night trip went well In my experiance its always worth taking some bait with you on the evening trips, as the slightest hick up costs you the time and daylight you need to collect bait. If there are no delays and you get fresh bait the old stuff can be used to groundbait so it does not go to waste. Charlie.
  12. Hi Alun Nice one mate, if retirement means you can select the best days and get out, I am sure you will enjoy it and eat a lot of fish Charllie
  13. Hi Duncan You ought to try being nice to all the yachties going out on a nice day moaning about the lack of wind. Charlie
  14. Hi Paul I am sure, as Tom says its just niggles. When you are ready for the full repair talk to me. I have plenty of materials at home and only a couple of small glassing jobs to tidy up so I should have plenty of bits left over. and hopefully more time to help you with the repairs Charlie
  15. Sorruy to hear the new boat is taking in water, If I can help Paul give me a call have you spoken to Orkney about this yet? Charlie
  16. Thanks Duncan
  17. Thanks Duncan That was the one, looking at all the tans we were having a better summer in 2005 Can you email it accros to wchapman212@ntlworld.com Thanks mate I hope the next family gathering gets that type of weather Charlie
  18. I have spent ages trying to find the photo of the Clubs boats gathered around great white on a family day by Brownsea in 2005 The photo was taken by Dan and Rob from an inflatable, and shows about 8 club boats rafted up Does anyone have a copy? Charlie
  19. Condolences to you and your family Kam at this very bad time I am sure that time will ease the pain and you will remember all the good times you enjoyed together. our best wishes are with you mate Charlie
  20. Well done Mike A red bream is rare now You should have popped it on your new scales, taken a photo and I am sure we would have a new Club Record Charlie
  21. I hope that it is better than one of its predesessors, if it went out in anything above a force three it shook itself to bits. all roar and spray and bloody useless for what it was intended for. Charlie
  22. Sounds like a good idea I believe in Burnham they have a system of a new Member being buddied up to the person who proposed him to join the Club, The experianced Member then becomes the mentor for the novice to the Club. That system would work for the where to take the boat but not so good for how to fish. Charlie
  23. Nice one mate A very nice report Was that fish during the Bass only comp? If so you will be well up the list with such great fish. Perhaps I could jump aboard some time to get some of this knowledge for next season. It will be catch and release if I get lucky so the stock will be safe Charlie
  24. Well done mate I know you have been counting the days down until today I hope the rest of the season brings some settled weather and good fishing You will now need to form a mid week fishing section of the Club Have a good retirement Charlie
  25. As Sea trials go that was a little over the top Can you imagine how the poor owner must have felt, he would have waited ages fot the boat to be built with all the hassle of choosing things, chasing the build team etc. The launch date finally arrives and then she gets dropped I expect the Yard Manager felt worse than the owner. well he would if it was my boat charlie
