  5. Funny When asked if she wanted tackle for Christmas, she fairly politely declined.😂 Apparently I have more than enough for both of us.
  6. Thanks guys, Wendy will be pleased.
  7. I come from Weston Super Mare on the Bristol Channel In the muddy waters up there congers were always a rare catch A friend landed a 50 lb fish that broke the channel record and made all of the papers , when 100lb fish were getting common in the Plymouth area
  8. Great reports Thanks Andy hard luck on whatever you lost neal
  9. You and me both Greg. I have had three long evening zoom meetings about this subject this week. we have just published something to Members of the Yacht Club. Wendy and I just returned from a nice walk and I have an email from the BMF with advice from DEFRA that seems to be the opposite of what we were acting on. Confusing or what. Charlie
  10. What are MDL Cobbs Quay doing at the moment?
  11. At work we have to follow RYA interpretations of the Gov guidance. As I type they have told us that recreational boats can only be used from public places. Apparently Clubs, Boatyards and Marinas are not public spaces I have had to send out notices stopping Members using their boats but it may well change again unless it does, much to our disappointment when there are toothy critters about, Alfresco will have to drop out. The Marina Manager cannot tell his berth holders to stay put and then bugger off fishing.
  12. Thanks for the reports guys Glad you had a good day
  13. I am afraid that date is still in lock down guys
  14. Picked up some frozen bait on my way past wessex on my way home yesterday. just in case
  15. With all of the changes I need to be at work tomorrow. Tight lines all that can get out keep the reports coming, we would all like to know what is still feeding out there after the recent rough weather. Charlie
  16. Has the upcoming lock down killed this one off?
  17. May take you up on that Colin At the bottom of my garden I have a very big stump of an ash tree where it was felled two years ago just above where it divided into two above the ground. I have fancied using a chainsaw to carve it into a bench type seat.
  18. I have made a few leads in the past, in various colours but I have never noticed a difference in catch rate to be honest. using the coating on lures, seemed to be a better use for the powder
  19. The boys up the road would have loved that Chris Fast descent's and Boat assault's were always a fun thing for them
  20. Happy Birthday guys Especially Mal the big 60, you do not look it or act it matey, have a few nice wines later.

  23. Hi Jerry I see the forecast getting worse every time I check. Are you still hoping to fish this weekend, regardless of the weather. To be honest I would rather postpone by two weeks to the next set of smaller tides in November, but that is only my opinion the decision is rightfully with the committee.

  25. What a great post Ian Another skill that I did not know that retired Army personnel [PONGOS} were capable of. Credit to all of those educational hours in the various rugby club libraries. It was my pleasure to have you back on Alfresco again, the food was great, your company and stories very welcome and keeping the LSD away from my baits priceless. I hope that we can fish again on the competition weekend, Covid 19 and Weather permitting. 😀😀
