Hi Chris I have one on the bow, but the locker is a bit small and the rope needs assistance to get the rope back in I have now fitted a locker and Lewmar C5 on the side deck May go out again for more trials tomorrow

Nice trophies Steve I hope that you had a great day and a worthy winner enjoys his triumph Well done for organising it.
-
Hi Chris we wondered about that yesterday, a knee switch rather than a foot switch Where is yours fitted? And do you push it with your knee or kneel on it?

I have inlet at the top via a tube that runs around the inside of the rim and has 6mm holes facing downwards, the end of the tube is bunged up. My outlet is just a 11/2 inch pipe as an overflow, from 3/4 the way up the barrel, fitted with a mesh to keep small fish from escaping. I do not like anything in the barrel that stops the bait circulating. I usually use a 360gph pump, which aerates the water and rotates it to keep it cold. Hope that helps Charlie

Good luck with the sale Dave A very nice package that someone will want now that the weather is improving Charlie

Thanks guys Great to be out fishing in the sunshine Capstan seemed to work well, jury is still out on where the foot switch will finally go, it is currently on a board so we can try a few positions

Fladen Maxximus 10ft Travel Uptide Rod - what they like!
great white replied to Manic Moore's topic in Top Gear
Big G The fishing sounds great, you should tell us all about it some time. AGAIN Would you like me to ask Sam about his travel rod, not sure that the extendable handle has come out for a while, but we should be able to free it up mate. Give me a call or text Charlie -
Nice one mate when are we going up for a spot of shark fishing someone has a good fishing boat. With a solid pedigree can get all the toys on the new one now
-
Good luck with the sale Craig And the hunt for a more trailable replacement. You and Putts are always welcome with us pal Charlie
-
Well done Sam I knew that it would not take you long to get the ball rolling I hope that a reasonable number of Juniors can be encouraged to take part. Come on guys get the kids names down. Happy to help where I can, on the boat or ashore Charlie
-
Thanks Matt and Dave Been let down a bit with the lockers arrival, so will have to wait a bit longer to test the waters for fish. Charlie
-
Sounrs good Nigel Hope to see you out there again really soon
-
Happy birthday Jacob I hope we see you out there fishing soon.
-
Are the wrecks fishing yet Matt Not heard much up here

Thats good Steve Be carefull opening that gap Thats the biggest problem with my bow capstan, if the feed into the locker backs up the rope jams between the gypsy and the guide. Tools are needed to remove the guide. Hence all the effort currently going into fitting a sidedeck capstan
-
Now just get to the boatyard and help Dad with the boat Then we can go out and try it before Alderney Thanks to all that have given Dan advice on this Whhat a great Club this is
-
Hi adam I am having a locker and door made that will be a little larger than I need so I can cut it down to fit the hull shape Glad your work is goong so well, seems strange not to have been out since mid Jan Charlie
-
Hi Adam I too need a locker for the new capstan, I could make it up myself but after a visit to the guys building Daves new boat I have ordered one from them. May be an option for you too mate. I am sure your time is very tight with the new job and all. Charlie

We have a lot of radios at work We have tried many set ups over the years Icom seem to be the best we have had. Three year warranty helps with the hard use they get. Charlie

Nice when it all starts to go back on Chris I am hoping the locker for my capstan will arrive soon But while I wait there are a list of annual and one off jobs to crack on with. I quite enjoy working on the boat, but would rather be fishing, Its thoughts of great trips like last years Cherbourg trip, two good days fishing in calm weather, that keep us going during March maintenance.
-
The boat is ashore for her annual maintenance Yesterday the boys joined me, while I cleaned her topsides and cabin tops, Sam scrubbed and rubbed down the antifouling (not a nice job) Dan used his experiance from Purbeck marine to remove the stern drive, as he is the best out of the three of us at getting the DPH drive off it did not tke him long Will joined me today to get the polish out for the rails and topsides Thanks for all of your help guys, we achieved a lot in two days and she was shining in the sunlight when I left. In all that wind, maintenance was about all we could have done this weekend Got to get her looking smart before Daves new offshore arrives in Poole Charlie
