It would be nice if as many people on the list of winners could attend the dinner dance to collect their trophies and prizes As well as those that didn't win prizes this year.

It's OK Charlie - mine is out too How about joining those that have spent time on Alfresco Put your name down and I am sure you will find a boat willing to take you out.
-
Given the rather congested Summer with competitions throughout, and various clashes With the current influx of Plaice, we have decided to hold the flatfish competition early - and given that most Poole boats will not need to venture very far outside the Harbour - hopefully we will get a good number of club members entering. This will now be held on Sunday 10th April Please register your intention to compete in the usual manner 1) Sea Dream Stuart Cooper, Neal Sturt

This might be a worthwhile cub purchase for future BBQ events I will contact the committee and see if they / we are interested!

I did this a few years back. I suggest you look at the restrictions that you might find have not been fully explained. We stayed in Cape Coral near to where you are going it takes about 1.5 hours to get out to open waters! We had to navigate through a number of Canals to get to the estuary - a zero wake zone - it means exactly that! and it is Policed. This meant a long trip just to get out to the estuary area. Then another large distance at reduced speed as it was a Manitee watch zone to get out to open water - which is past The bridge between Sanibel and Fort Myers. When we finally got to the open sea - check your insurance! - you are restricted to within 3 miles of the Coast - unless you chance it - but if you do happen to breakdown it is very very expensive. We found - like here - all the best fishing is offshore - so hired a Captain, who has the appropriate qualifications and insurance to take you out and catch some proper fish. It was well worth it - otherwise we would have wasted a large sum of money! Neal.

First call................... Please could all those that have club trophies return them to me at the next club meeting Many thanks
-
Nigel - amended 21lb 9oz fish added Charlie's Smoothhound added - missed that one, apologies. Chris - the spring species hunt did go ahead - your boat won it - Dave Wilson thrashed us all!! It is an informal comp with no specific prize / or award, it is to get as as many people out and get them up and running on the annual species comp. Also used as a gauge of what is about at that time of year - relative to water temperatures.
-
Please let me know if you see any errors or omissions and I will edit / confirm accordingly. Other than that - well done everybody! Look forward to see what 2016 brings It would be nice if everybody on this list of winners could attend the dinner dance to receive their prizes and or Trophies.
