I have got an MXL5.8 and a slightly smaller SX5.3 - both lever drag - which I was fortunate enough to get direct from the States Both of these will land pretty much anything we are likely to catch If you want to check them for balance on a particular rod or rods - let me know and I will arrange to meet sometime Both are great reels - I very highly recommend them.

And of course their is the classic Jethro one ..........Take the bus Jethro and his mate Denzel - somewhat over-served, and having missed the last bus home - decided to break into the Bus station and take one. Jethro decided to keep a look out and sent Denzel in to steal a bus. After about 30 minutes of hearing buses starting up and then stopping - he decided to see what was holding up his mate. Denzel what are you doing?........Denzel replies - the Bus to Camborne was right at the back - I had to move all the others out of the way first!

Remember Rob - Clarkson got in trouble for saying that!

Looking at the map and limits of the Area V11E - they can be caught only to the west and south of 2 degrees west - a line from approx Dancing Ledge down to Cap De La Hague. So - the breeding grounds of Poole Bay, Swanage Bay etc are off limits - if they care! Or if they monitor it

Happy Birthday Oli Neal

Happy Birthday Alfie, Its the big one - and a very happy retirement to go with it. No more excuses for not fishing - unless Sally says so! Neal
