Just out of interest, is that your Witney or my Witney? Terry.
  2. Again, there is one law for them and one for the rest of us. I think the authorities are afraid of them as they will play the Human Rights card. Terry.
  3. I should imagine he thinks he's got off lightly. Terry.
  4. That's pretty clear.......I think. Terry.
  5. Trying to impress the neighbours Jim? Terry.
  6. Alun does dig his own worms, we were chatting about it earlier. You knew of the cooked prawns as I brought them to the flounder comp a couple of years ago and caught on one. Alun originally put me onto the prawns and they are the cheap ones from Tesco, etc, as stated earlier in a different thread. Terry.
  7. It comes with a trailer which makes life a lot easier, Rob. I will have my back-up riding shotgun in case of mishaps. Terry.
  8. I have come to the same conclusion so will be heading to Lyme Regis on the 31st to collect my new ride and, from that point on, will be making up for lost time. See you out there Jerry and everyone else. Terry.

Of course, you could be in local lockdown again when all the a**oles descend on you with the good weather. Terry.

    Who's the boss

He's starting his own news channel, GB News. Terry.

I didn't watch and wouldn't give them the oxygen of my interest. However, thanks to a share from Alfie Tucker in the 'other place', the Australians know how to sum things up succinctly and with no concern for sensibilities. https://www.skynews.com.au/details/_6237889058001 Terry

I certainly won't be going out until the end of the month as I live two hours away so can't travel until then but, as soon as I am able, I shall be amongst you. What boat do you have? Have a look at some old threads which will give an idea of the weather apps we use to help to decide if the weather/tides/wind will be suitable on a given day. Plaice are starting to show although normally they are a bit out of condition at this time as they are just recovering from spawning. I am reliably informed that the smaller to medium ones are o/k with the larger ones showing more effect from the exertions of their breeding. Targeting turbot could be a bit hit and miss, they are not prolific in our area although they do show up now and again, we usually go to Weymouth or Alderney for those. Keep watching the catch reports, things should start moving soon as the water warms up then you'll have to book a spot on the hotspots. 😀 Terry.

Welcome to the Club, you will not regret your decision, I, like quite a few other members, am in Cobbs so hope to catch up when we are able. Terry.

    Draw Bridge

Roll on the 29th of this month! Terry.
  17. I think this refers to investment in alternative green fuels for the commercial shipping sector such as electric or hydrogen with LNG, LPG, methanol, biofuel and hydrogen being the main ones tested at present. I've been following this for a while, it's very interesting and strides are being made. On a more local level, quite a few inshore boats are now using petrol driven outboards although what the benefits are, I'm not sure. Terry.
  18. I seem to remember, probably back in the late 60's, a Weymouth charter skipper used to take old cars out to the Shambles and drop them over for the same purpose. Old trick, same result. Terry.
  19. Likewise, except I am 2 hours away. Terry.
  20. I watched the PM's speech to Parliament, Jerry, and it seemed fairly straightforward, apart from the usual exhortation to stay at home if you can. 29th March will be the first date one can leave the home area which would suggest we can go fishing. Like me, I'm sure you can travel to your boat, go fishing and return home without coming into contact with anyone. I can assure you that I shall be travelling to Lyme Regis to collect the new toy! Terry.

Well done Tom, you won't regret it. I'm in the process of changing boats and will definitely stay with them. Terry.
  24. Hear, hear, keeps me going. If you can't go fishing or boating, the next best thing is playing with your toys or talking about it. Terry.
