  1. Am I the only one who didn't know this? A really good tip for putting the line on a fixed spool reel to avoid any tangles, why isn't this put on the box? Terry.
  2. Is your left leg in it's mouth, Dave? Terry.
  3. Happy cake day Trev, have a great day. Terry.
  4. There could be a chance closer to Poole.😉 Terry.
  5. A very happy Jerry day to you youngster, take the day off. Oh yes, silly me. Terry.

  8. That's going to be a great blow to a lot of ardent Brexiteers. Terry.

  10. Looking forward to seeing you out there again, Charlie. Terry.
  11. My first car was a 1937 Morris 8, WITH A SUNROOF! Next came a Singer LeMans drop head coupé, Morris Minor 1000 convertible, Morris Oxford Estate and a Morris Minor Countryman. Great old cars. I passed my test in a Vauxhall Viva HA (with the sporty short gear stick). I wish I still had the Singer, worth a bloody fortune now. Terry.
  12. I rebuilt one about 20 years ago, fun little car. Also had a Frog Eyed Sprite, wish I did now. Terry.
  13. I have several Fladen Maxximus rods and find them good value, they'll take any amount of stick being solid carbon. Designed and, I assume, owned in Sweden. Don't shut them in your car boot lid, they break, I have a couple of 7'6" ones that used to be 8ft. Terry.
  14. The attitude in Germany is quite different to here, they do not do a lot of home charity. Their answer is they pay taxes and therefore if charity is needed, there is a breakdown in the system which is then rectified. When you think of what some of the charities are set up for like child abuse, homelessness and families with not enough food, you have to wonder if they have a point. Terry.
  15. Dave, a lot of them seem to come with a charger or as an extra. probably a wise choice as they may not be the same as the original. Terry.
  16. A very Happy Cake Day to you both. Terry.
  17. With regard to batteries, I will offer my experiences in recent years. With my boat not being used as often as some before I moved to Cobbs, I always seemed to be having problems using Numax leisure batteries, 110 amp hour, they frequently lost their charge, so much so that I always carried a jump starter in the boot of the car. I then decided to lash out and bought an Optima Blue Top battery which is designed for starting and delivers a 'bigger burst of power on starting. Since that time, 3 years ago, I have never had to charge it, the least it has gone down to is 12.8 volts which it was when I brought it home recently as it had been unused since the beginning of November. They are expensive but I can honestly say, this is the first time I have not had to cross my fingers on starting after a lay up. Terry.
  18. From my research, it is an early'ish bike and I have found several suitable batteries, all around the £200 mark. The big choice, price wise, is the amp hour rating, generally around 10 but, obviously, the higher the rating, the more miles you're going to get per charge. 36v, 250w and 8 - 10 amp hours will give you around 20-22 miles. Perhaps Jerry could have a look at the battery and get the rating off it. Although an early model, it would make a sturdy run around and if you're handy, you can bypass the limiting controls and fit a throttle, thus doing away with the need to peddle at all. 😉 Terry.
  19. This is exactly what I did when mine was at home, a piece of timber cut to size under the axle stands. Terry.
  20. Would it not be possible to get someone to make a stainless steel guide to attach to your roller housing to direct the course of the anchor? Terry.
  21. I don't think they'll come this far but if I lived more locally, I would definitely support them. Got to be better than supermarket fish. Terry.
  22. Local address and local landline, couldn't be hooky, couldit? Terry.
  23. I would imagine the bream are appreciating the break, roll on 2021. Terry.
