For those others of you with Warrior boats, I have a useful contact. I have been having issues with Indespension sourcing roller assemblies on my trailer. Suffice it to say that it has taken me since 9/8 to sort it. I finally got to the fountain head, i.e., the person in charge of the Warrior contract. He knows his stuff and is very helpful. Unfortunately, the current barrel is an ex oil drum with the top cut out of it and cleaned. I don't think a lid would fit it as it isn't made for it. Nice thought though, thanks for that. Terry.

Barrel sourced locally and welding completed. Should be ready for smoking some trout next week. Thanks for the offer Trev, a truck driving friend noticed one on an industrial estate and asked if he could take it. Unfortunately, no lid, so if you can find one with a lid, I would still like it and will convert this one to a hot smoker. Terry.

I would say, almost certainly, a dodgy connection. I had a similar problem and re-attached the two ends properly with solder and that fixed it. Terry.

I have two for my Warrior. They are good for live baiting for bass, you can keep an eye on the depth of the weight as it appears on the sonar. Also good for trolling lures, plugs, etc. Terry.
