  1. What part of the country are the shamles in then??
  2. I don't think Adam wants to go he told me he wants to take Rachel to a wedding show!!! My plans may be Saturday at the moment Gordon
  3. I'll be thinking of you Jack while I'm surrounded in wire and solder Good Luck Mate Gordon
  4. I am in the middle of re-wiring all the extra bits on the boat ie electronics, bilg pump etc. While tidying up all the other spaghetti, I decided to remove the trim guage for testing and to tidy up the loom as it has never worked. One of the wires running to it comes from a small plug in the back of the throttle / gear remote. A single purple wire. Can anyone tell me the function and by disconecting all the wires to the guage, am I going to have problems with the remote / tilt and trim? Thanks Gordon Radio, sorry wireless Moore
  5. Well, after working untill sunset, I've still got plenty of wiring to go. Ended up ripping the whole lot out and start again. So it looks like head under the consol for a few tomorrow and may take her down to Xchurch for a test if there's time Good luck Gordon
  6. I am trying to get my boat electrics finished today and fancy trying a bit of wrecking off Kimeridge on Sunday. Anybody else fancy a try for a few pollock on the drift while the tide is running and there is then a long period of slack during the afternoon where there could be an eel or 2 Regards Gordon
  7. Nicely done Bob
  8. I'm definately up for it. Same as Paul as my open boat won't give much in the way of protection so weather permitting me and boat. Regards Gordon
  9. Having done mainly course fishing most of my fishing life use 12 and 13 foot match rods and even when I got the boat at the back end of the summer I have to say that I don't see the problem with a long rod on a boat. I even feel that with a lively fish it helps to keep it clear of the hull and prop etc. In your shoes I would go for the 11 to 12 foot with gives you the shore and boat option. Good luck Gordon the conger catcher
  10. Can anyone give advice on the best long range weather / wind forcast and tidal predictions Regards Gordon
  11. Well I've got a taste for them now 40lb congerless Moore !!!
  12. We can still live in hope when you see sights like that even after the Lyme Regis dog fish story Gordon
  13. First of all thanks lads for taking me out because I know that James was keen to do the Shambles. They both put up a great scrap and I will definately go back for more. Thanks again Gordon (not congerless any more!)

    Bass Flies

    I've seen a housefly, I've seen a dragonfly, i've even seen a horsefly. But I've never seen a Bassfly
  15. Like you said earlier Adam, the tides really do pick up from Wednesday. Although the tides are quite early, high at 7.30am (at Poole entrance) I'm up for it what ever day you choose Gordon
  16. Sorry Paul It looks like the Mother of the house has other ideas about my Sunday on Mothers Day
  17. Yes, I think they look more like a whaler than the traditional Dory. I like the idea. It looks good and would probably mean less steel (cheaper! squeak). At the moment the pole looks vavourite as my full cover would have a job with your design, so it would have to hinge in some way. Fold forwards perhaps? Thanks for all your advice and interest. If anyone sees an A frame lurking in a dak corner off a wreck let me know as it will still be a cheaper than having a folding pole made Regards Frameless Moore
  18. If I'm not fishing I'll give you a hand Gordon
  19. I will get some picys as soon as I'm back on the water. But here's a link http://www.boats-for-sale.com/displayboats...=25&startpage=1
  20. Charlie Sounds perfect for the exact reasons you have stated. I will see you tonight to chat about it Regards A frameless Gordon
  21. Now I have a VHF, GPS, I also need nav lights. I am thinking about getting an A frame for the back of the Eurosport, the same as a lot of ribs have. Anyone point me in the right direction, for one in someones garage, someone who wants a cash job who can make one etc Thanks Gordon
  22. Our Monday has been called off as its going to be all but freezing. Some were talking about Thursday. Looking at the BBC forecast, Thursday is not looking to good with the wind getting back up. Is anyone considering Wednesday and need crew? Regards Still congerless moore
  23. It's looking OK for Monday so I think Paul D and I are venturing out somewhere but if the weather is good Thursday and someone is going to try a bit of wrecking again, I've still a days holiday to take so keep me in mind. grovel grovel Regards Gordon
  24. You have a PM Regards Plotterless Gordon
