Well done both,always nice to read success stories...Kaptain Kod advises a small cross on the side of the boat to re-find your location,I must point out that this is useless.................unless you make a corresponding cross on the water at the boatside.. Hope this proves usefull..jack

I tried this novel idea with my 16k.Calor gas cylinder.Works ok but a bit unwieldy for holding up above your head for maximum effect jack

Paul,you and the others now know why there are no pictures of my fish on the site. It's such a bind having to keep the size of fish caught, down to a proportion that can be contained in a photo that can be reduced enough to print Seriously 'though,some sights have a little built in magnifying glass [ one of our chaps gave me the details,and i use it often on my PC.] perhaps one of these would make my catches look better ,on screen....jack

Hi All, Thought this might be of interest to you. Found out by accident after I was flashed by a speed camera the other day but did not get a ticket. I found out that recent government legislation changes, following on from the Freedom of Information Act give access to speed camera offences registered within the last twelve months and is placed on a freely available website. Did you know that every time you go even a mile or so over the speed limit it is registered and placed on the database? They only send a ticket if you are more than 10% plus 3mph over OR [and here is an interesting little known fact] if you receive over 20 "near misses" you can now check how many you have against your cars registered number. Check this site www.e-database.co.uk It will ask you for a password but click on need a password and it will give you one in a pop up window. In the top right corner there is a click-on window and it even shows you the picture taken by the camera. Start worrying.......jack

Andy and I. [the clubs previous anchor/rope/chain losing specialists ] have settled into a satisfactory and so far successful routine.We use 2 plastic ties [9" white ones]. If you tug at them with lashings of power when they are jammed in,they will break.Under all other circumstances encountered so far,they hold well...jack
