Jim replied to Peter's topic in Swap and Shop
Sounds like a lot of dosh. Then I thought . . . .Less than 3 times what I paid for the Tiddler so actually it's a flipping BARGAIN ! Good luck with the sale. Jim -

Treated ourselves to a day off work. Started at just gone 7 Painted outside of house. Then the garden wall. More than a 12 hour day. Stiff as a plank but good to see the results of a hard day's graft. ( I don't do graft anymore. I just get paid for playing on a computer ) Probably one of this week's better days and I chose to paint the house. ( Senility's really taking it's toll ) Ah well never mind . . . . . . . . . . . Brian, you may not have caught much but you got out on Megabyte. Not sure I'm looking forward to retirement. It seems that we're even more busy not working than we were when we were working ! Jim

After months of not getting out, I decided to take a day off. Looked at the weather and it was changing to SW for Today so we decided to go and have a little " pootle " around. We went to various little spots for a dangle but only had a couple of Mackerel just past the end of hook sands. ( Jacqui likes Mackerel fishing ) ( I started to type " feathering " ) but I knew Rob would be in like a shot ! As ever, The Tiddler behaved herself and handled the sea conditions superbly. I think I used about ½ a Crown's worth of fuel ( anyone under 50 ask an old git ) I have caught plenty of rays though and feeling quite scorched. Saw Boblin on the way back in. Bobi was just starting to reel a flattie in. Boblin looked great. Jim

Martin posted on here that he had a space for crew for this comp. after a quick phone call the space was mine ! As always Martin & Dean are great hosts and work together so well that " crew " is not very accurate. " Easy day " would be better. We were down at Cobb's for just after 7. I'd been to Castaways for bait ( Ian opened up early for us ) so it had been kept nice and fresh overnight. After the logging in we set off for the 08:30 bridge lift. Perfect timing to get the Hexacopter drone out for some action shots. . . . . . . . . Outside the Harbour I asked Martin to stop so I could launch the drone again. Got some good film of Madness in action. Stopped again for Dean to catch the drone for me and off to the " secret mark " As Martin lowered his line it was " fish on " and we were all enthused. Then it was " he's got off " We think it was a mackerel. ( we could have done with that point ) We didn't have any other Mackerel all day! I had a Small eyed ray ( my first ever ) Martin had a Smooth hound. I had some fish on but my trace was not up to the job and kept losing hooks. We moved to the next " secret mark " and had Undulates. Then on to the swash and Dean was straight into the Wrasse. Various sorts. Then Poole Patch and Dean was " on fire " he had allsorts .. . Bream, Pout, more Wrasse. . . .and. . . and . . . and Martin and I had a few but Dean was way out in front. Back in for the compulsory " Castle drifts " ( few more wrasse ) Then back in with the 4:30 bridge. I think we had about 150 points. Again Martin & Dean. Thank you for a great day out. Jim
