Lofty ! You little Tinker ! The important thing - - - - - everyone was safe ! And I hope they enjoyed it. We certainly did ! Jim

We nipped over for a quick chat with Neal & Stuie and then over to the launch area to make ourselves known. Soon enough it was 10:00 and the whole bay seemed to be awash with kayaks. The guys in control on the mic asked us to police the boundary to keep people inside for safety reasons. Chris set a Large Red Line on his plotter and we could tell who was over and who was not. It can be difficult sometimes for individuals to judge if they’re in or not but we could not only see but we could tell them how far over they were. ( anyone we nagged at .. . sorry . . . just trying to keep you all safe ) We had plenty of sausage, bacon & egg baps too. We even took some over for Neal & Stuie. We spent most of the day slowly patrolling around and assisting numerous stuck anchors. I think we lost 2 and got 4 back ( sorry Lofty ) yours was stuck tighter than a boss’s wallet ! I’ve put a load of photos on a CD. I’ll get them to you Lofty. ( please PM me your address ) I’ve lost it. Can the organisers please stress to all kayakers that they must sign back in after the comp. We were hanging around for ages while a few were being located. We did not dare just go in case they were still out on the water and in need of help. Once we were “ stood down “ we headed back for a few bream but no good. Chris had one on but it got off. He then had another bite and then nothing. But ! I had a fantastic day afloat on a great boat with a really competent skipper. Chris - - - I take my hat off to you and once again, Thanks. Jim

Right : I was cream crackered last night & busy all day today. Firstly: There are some true Gentlemen about and our club is blessed with a large helping of them. Chris and Myself passed through the 07:30 lift and headed out towards the main harbour. At the Condor ferry we hooked a left ( turned to Port ) and Chris had his eye on a little rubber dinghy. He told me to shout across and ask if he was OK. It turned out that he wasn’t OK and had engine problems. We towed him in safely and set off for the Harbour entrance. The kettle started whistling. What a lovely sound - - a whistling kettle. We arrived at the “ secret spot “ of Ballard and dropped anchor. Chris was straight into a nice bream from the off. Then I had some as well. Neal & Stuie stopped by on their way to Swanage for Safety duties. We were joined by Dave ( Reel Magic ) ( Dave I have a few photos for you ) and numerous charters. One of which positioned himself not far behind us and had a very noisy anchor. That finished the fishing. Not to worry it was time for our duties as safety boat too so we upped anchor and went round to Swanage.

I was impressed with the Bream Nige ! But that movie of the Dolphins - - - - - WOW ! right outside the Harbour too. Brilliant ! Jim

26 ? I've only got 7 on the Tiddler ! Mind you . . . . . . that's 6 for me and only 1 for Jacqui . . . . . . . And she still catches more than I do ! Ah well . . . . . . . hope to get out again soon. Jim
