Well done Rob and helpers. You do a lot of work that us " ordinary members " don't see. I take my hat off to you. Jim

Big Ditto Gents. Well done.

Stu's a tough old devil. Chris wrenching at the hook with a pair of pliers turned my stomach, but Stu kept telling him it's OK just give it a tug and a twist. I'm not very good with other people's blood ! ! Thank you both for a good day out. Jim

My pleasure Paul. It's a small thing for me to do for people who have given so much. Jim

Sorry Steve. There didn't seem to be much interest and I was made an offer by someone who's PC had died. I didn't want to pass up a buyer with no other apparent interest. The good points: 1 ) It's gone to a club member. 2 ) There's £80 going to Help for Heroes. 3) I may be able to get my hands on something else ( maybe a different spec ) if you're interested. It's down to decisions at work from a far higher level than me. I'll do my best. If you fix yours or buy a new one please let me know so I don't buy something which you don't need. If there are more for sale, it will probably be first come - first served so I'll have to make an instant decision. Let me know if you're interested. Jim

Someone in the club needs a computer now due to the current one being kaput. I'm ending the auction now as there have been no other bids. This is now sold ! Jim

I can do pictures tonight. Thanks for the offer of a screen Rob. It's on-board graphics with a single connector but the buyer could add a cheap graphics card with two outputs and turn it into a much more powerful machine. Jim

Greetings. I just bought a computer from work. Dell OptiPlex 380 Dual Core 2.93 Ghz - -- - - Genuine windows 7 Pro - - - - 3 GB RAM - - - - 320 GB HD - - - 17" screen - - keyboard & mouse. I have cleaned the dust and fluff out of it and given it a general check up. I have done a clean install of Windows but no other software. This is a good basic starter machine. Ideal for schoolwork or general office tasks. All of the money raised by this auction will go to Heroes On the Water. I paid £50.00 so that is going to be the reserve. So £51.00 could win it and all £51.00 would go to H O W. I will not post this so it will be collection only or I can bring to the next meeting. The auction will end at 8:00pm on Wednesday the 4th of December. I think I probably need to reserve the right to end this auction early just in case. I don't think I'm breaking any rules, but this is being held in good faith for a good cause. If I've missed anything or broken any rules, could a moderator correct it / delete it as necessary. Jim

Motorised Bar Stool is it Kev ? ? Rob - - - Very good but only on a flat sea. It'd shake yer gizzards out !

Jacqui bought me some Neoprene wellie type boots from Castaways. I wore them today. Warm, comfortable and good grip on the wet deck. Trainers are lethal on a wet deck ! !

Went out with Chris & Stu on Kingfisher. We had Doggies, Doggies, & more Doggies. Chris had a good sized conger, Stu had a Pout and I had a Screwdriver ( yes I caught a rusty old Screwdriver ) Chris wants to know if it counts for the species comp. Stu and I had a Spider Crab each. Dave ( Wight Magic ) joined us at lunch time ish. Thanks Chris & Stu for a smashing day afloat. Not many fish, but a good day none the less. Cheers. Jim

I really struggle to post things at work. I assume it's our anti virus. I left it trying to post for about 10 minutes and then clicked away frantically and it posted twice. Stupid Computer !
