Hi Nick I'm guessing yours is an inboard but for anyone with an outboard you may find this interesting:

    JoJo's Ray Comp

Great to be out with the family AND catch a few fish. Well done Rob. Jim
  10. Sounds as though we all enjoyed our day out. Shame the Rays were a bit scarce but still a good day. Jim
  11. Hi Neil, I have the Icom IC-M33 VHF Marine tranciever. A few of us bought them at the same time. Not sure of the price but just over £100 I think. I think I bought it about six years back. It's waterproof and floats. ( I've never tested that though ) It still holds a good charge and has never had any issues. The floating bit is very important though I believe. Hope you find a bargain. Jim
  12. One TINY spotted to Me on Madness. Terry had a good Tope 30lb+ We all hooked stuff and got bitten off. Had a few very small congers. Terry had 2 of the smallest Mackerel I've ever seen. What a gorgeous day to be out. Thanks again Martin. Terry your home made pasties heated up in the Dutch ? oven were superb. Thanks for a fantastic day out. Jim
  13. I forgot to say: Tiddler is only 4 metres ( 13 feet ) We're happy outside of the harbour but only if it's quite calm. We have been through some lumpy stuff and she was very capable but always err on the side of caution. Jim
  14. I've been eagerly awaiting reports of the Norway thing. As Dave said " >>>>&&&^%$£"£$$%%" I take my hat off to you for putting it back to grow bigger and make lots & lots & lots of babies. Very well done on both Catch & Release. I suppose now a 60lb Conger is just " BAIT " to you ? ? ?
  15. Hi James, Welcome to the club. You don't say how much boating or Poole harbour or Poole bay experience you have. If you're very inexperienced the RYA level 2 as Terry said is very important. Also see if others are going out and see if you can " tag along " Or See if there are crew spaces on other boats just to get the " feel " of things. You've joined a fantastic club. We all aim to help each other enjoy our sport as safely as we can. Jim
  16. Yes the forecast has improved a lot over the last few days. I'm quite excited as we get nearer.

  19. Good enough to frame Brian ? We'll have to do it again when you get the new boat. You'll be sorry to see Megabyte go. Warriors: Very good boats.

  25. Thanks for that Brian. Where's the fun in being old if ya can't get a bit of discount ? Ah well. I'll go and find a spotty teenager to bash with my walking stick ! That'll cheer me up !
