Let's hope nobody needs a big lifeboat.

I had to Google that one Tony. Here's the explanation for anyone else who didn't know or had forgotten. " a camel is a horse designed by a committee " I think you've summed it up there Tony.

Well done to the winners. Thanks Neal.

Probably never going to affect Me but thanks for posting Dave. You never know . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I may get fish of the month one day

Poole Marine services ( Golden Arrow ) used to do mine. A young chap by the name of Sam Cobb. They are not cheap but I doubt that ANYONE's cheap when the word " marine " is used They know what they're doing and have the software etc. as they're the local dealership for E-Tec. Oh decisions decisions decisions

I would look at physical lumps. Cos they make a range of engines that are physically the same but different powers. Choose the highest power for a lump ( power to weight ) within your range. Or choose a large lump - low power ( so cheaper ) and get it sorted to give the higher power. Lots of research required I think. Jim

£2,700 offer and bargain from there. If it's overpriced don't pay it.
-
The people who decided we needed it must be SO PROUD of themselves. They probably go all goose pimpley at it permanently stuck in the up position like that.
-
Nice one Kam " They don't like it up em " I think I've had the same fella on my phone. I pretended to follow his instructions and when he asked hat I could see on the screen I told him " dancing fairies " He very clearly said much the same as your fella. . . . . . . . As for helplines . . . . . . . I usually understand Indians. But Scottish . . . . . Nah ! can't follow THEM.
-
Good luck Hooky. Hope you find a good one with low hours. Some people don't rate the E-TEC but I was very happy with mine and I'd gladly have another one. My Honda's good too but needs an expensive service every year. Jim

I know I'm a simple soul but It can't be THAT flipping difficult. Yes we need the pedestrian crossing bit ( cos we've educated people that they can't cross without one ) Yes people need to go in there for the couple of businesses that are in there but aren't those things on top of the lights sensors ? ? ? ? Jacqui phoned a couple of years ago about the lights letting us through but we couldn't go through because the road was blocked by lights just a few yards away from those lights. She was told they couldn't coordinate them. I'll refrain from swearing!
-
It still is today Rob. All lit up too. Jacqui said you'd think they'd turn the lights off not advertise the issue. We came home over the old bridge and were delighted to see that the traffic lights for the twin sails were still working. Oh how I love queueing for Bu***r all ! How hard would it be to write 2 extra sets of sequences? One when the twin sails is inoperative & one for the old bridge. Traffic lights on RED and nobody coming through ! ! Sunseekers chucking out time too.

Yep ! We also have a lot of workshy people to pay for!

Nearly! Diesel used to be much cheaper than petrol. Diesel was the fuel to choose. We both got diesel cars. We were doing our bit for a greener planet. We saved on fuel costs. We did loads more MPG. The government kept setting tighter emissions targets. The car makers managed to reach the targets. The government checked how car makers could reach these impossible targets. GOTCHA! The government cried FOUL! Now all diesel users are devil worshipers and must be made to pay ! An extra 10p per litre on top of the already massive fuel tax! How many litres of diesel get used every day? How many 10ps are going into the taxman,s pockets? Ah well we can all sleep well knowing it's being used wisely! ! Did somebody " get me started " ?
-
I think it was under discussion for 30 years or so. They asked local people what they thought. I've never heard of any local people that said " another lifting bridge ? what a good idea! "
-
Nice one. Did Graham catch too?

Hooked one like that ( probably a bit bigger ) in a drainage ditch over Wareham when I was 15. Frightened the life out of Me ! Didn't land it though. It took the bait at the surface. Right under my feet. Well done HOW.

Magic ! I've saved this as a PDF and I'll post it on our notice board at work. James' smile says it all. Jim
