agreed I know a lot of people love the flatty fishing but its not for me!

Id rather go down the canal, i dont eat fish. and the turbot have zero attraction for me. Id actualy rather sit and catch wrasse or doggys. If i am going to sit it out for a fish it will be for good one not a flatty

From talking to people we know at portland your doing well to get a bite let alone a fish off the shambles. Considering it has a trawler go over it every few months and dozens of boats on it daily not a surprise

What a differance in the colouration of the two plaice! Well done on catching I think it will be a struggle inshore untill the temperature gets up

We must be owed some good weather - since we aborted the first Alderney dates last year we have barely had any settled weather. Just did a quick tally on what i caught on the trip 2011- 4 mackeral, 3 turbot, 1wrasse. Cant understand why i am excited This year i would love a 45lb plus tope to beat my pb, double figure flatty..... And a 20lb plus pollack on the way over so i can say 'i broke your record dad' for 4 days! ( i may need to hitch a ride home if this happens)

Ok new one why does it revert to the mobile version after I have changed to the full site on my Ipod. It will let me change to the full version but after a few minutes of navigating the forum it reverts to the mobile version and wont switch back unless I close the window and open the site again?
