Dad has the same arrangement as charlie... Its the same as any bit of kit, used appropriatly it can be a usefull aid but shouldnt be blindly relied on- the mark 1 eyeball is still essential! Glad to hear the yakker was unhurt

I deliberatly dont have my email synck to my ipod for the reasons above. We have only ever had stuff nicked off our boat in poole (the throttle control) but the same day as another boat had a chainsaw used to take off the engine. I feel confident at portland leaving gear on board due to the 24hr secutity but whilst in poole this summer i will take everything off

I suppose if you look at the over 20ft boats in the club ( based purely on last years alderney trip) they are all different makes so cant be mutch mass market for them

Freeboyz fished the shambles today wind was nowhere near what was forecast but v cold. Reel action drifted with us for a while but didnt see any fish go onboard

Might as well head to portland mqrina/sailing club high charges but at least some decent facilities

It would be nice if we all eat together first night(as long as i am fed dont care where) - as we are weymouth based better for us to catch up with everyone etc. Although this year we will make our mid chanel rv rather than first contact being a few miles short of alderney!
