    Hi All

Hi Charlie welcome back. I hope to spend much more time in Poole in the future, I have been looking at the rivers for Grayling in Dorset as the winds seem to keep us on shore and thought the rivers a really good second choice😀 Jerry
  4. After many cancellations at last we managed to proceed with the Bream Comp. Far from perfect weather conditions or tide but well done everyone who joined in. First place. Alan Green Fisheagle. Black Bream 3lbs Second place. Colin Frances Boblin Black Bream 2lbs 13oz Third Place. Mike Hall Fisheagle Black Bream 2lbs 12oz Species comp now only a couple of weeks away so let’s hope to be rid of the easterlies by then. Jerry
  5. Jim, Your welcome, you forgot to say you caught the biggest Bream of our day 1lbs 7oz, not a Comp winner but a good fish that day👍
  6. Jim, Ive got a pond turtle at Hammworthy, looking for a home, quite big, nearly dinner plate size. If you don’t want it anyone else? Just wants a good home.

  9. Ok, weekend looks pretty good so, let’s try and run the Bream comp this weekend including the bank holiday Monday. Before you fish please say which day you plan to fish 29, 30, 31 and post on the forum. Its been a really long break since the last competition so try and get some good pictures when your out there, everyone will enjoy them. Make sure you give Andy plenty of notice if you want worms from PSA Good luck and tight lines,
  10. Things look promising for next weekend, I will post on Tuesday hoping to confirm the Bream comp for the Saturday Sunday and Monday. Heres hoping!!! Jerry
  11. Sorry guys, Yet again it looks like the weather has beaten us regards the Bream Comp this weekend. It does however look like the jet stream could be on the move in the next 7-10 days. If this looks like it is going to happen I will post again to see if we have a good following for the W/E 29th-30th. Keep tying those rigs and earning brownie points so when the weather changes you can spend more time on the water, and on a positive thought, the Bream are having a really good break to nest and breed.
  12. Sorry guys, on my different weather apps I have in xs of 20mph wind on both days so this weekends Bream comp is cancelled again! We can look at next weekend as the week progresses. Jerry
  13. Unfortunately the weather is getting worse not better at the moment. I will post conformation tomorrow evening. If we do cancel, I will try moving again to the W/E 22-23rd if we still have a good number wanting to give it a go. All in the hands of the weather gods. Jerry
  14. I have a friend who fishes the Usk regularly and they are a relatively common occurrence. It would be great to see them in the Severn, certainly I heard of 3 being caught between Poole and Chesil last year, did Alan not have one ? Or was that an Allis Shad?
  15. Hi, Unfortunately due to the weather the Bream comp is cancelled and will be re scheduled next weekend 15-16th May. I will re post next week and hopefully everyone and more will be able to take part. Jerry
  16. Have a great day🥳🥳

  19. Belated Birthday wishes🥃🥃
  20. Thankyou Steve, I think I will need to know which day you are planning! Sorry to be a pain but impressed by your enthusiasm, sure you will add end of next week. Best Jerry
  21. First Competition for a while, Bream seem to be showing thank goodness. Hopefully all the usual names will be putting there names down and more importantly some new names. It’s always good fun and if you are new to the club you usually get to meet a few members if not chat on channel 6. Any one not sure about how it all works or even how to catch Bream give me a call or message me ( I haven’t caught a Bream this year yet🙄🙄) I will put another reminder up next week, this is just to give you time to build up Brownie points with her indoors!!
  22. Have a great day with no work and too much 🍺🥳
  23. Have a great day, you’d better let Grandad catch a few this year😜 Hope your heads ok🥳😫😫
  24. Thankyou Alun, does that mean spent egg casing? or could there be active eggs still there?
  25. Great weather window, so a trip to check the boat and drown some worms. Big tides limited things a bit but drifting down the front and past the piers gave us a really wonderful welcome back to the real world. With nets and a trawler out to annoy us we had some lovely Plaice to a PB 50cm on a new rod, Dabs, Tub Gurnard, Whiting and a beautifully marked Thornback. The boat worked well, the fish obliged, the weather was kind so a perfect day. Can anyone ID the spherical egg casing I caught?
