Happy birthday Neal Av a few for I Kev

Yep thanks Dave for putting us on my mark,it chucked up a few fish again. And a big thank you to all the hard work you chaps put in to make the comps run well. It was a Xmas treat for the extra prize for all. And well done to Neal and his merry men for organising the junior comp. Plus all the people that put donations towards the prizes. Jacob was well chuffed with his rod and reel, he even took it to bed with him. Well it gives me a pass to take him out to test it out. Well done mick on the winning fish we will all be out to beat you next year Kev and a happy Jacob

Thanks Charlie put a bit of pressure on us, we got a new weapon called Jacob this year he seems to out fish me all the time. Let's hope lightning strikes 3 times, bring it on Kev

A 7lb 8oz cod for Jacob first ever cod well chuffed. Little bugger out fished Mick and me again, good day in all congers pout and some nice whiting for the table o and so many dogs I lost count Kev

Good call on calling off comp, we ventured out four miles at eight this morning it was great going with the wind, when we stopped you had a job to stand up. A slow bumpy ride back to the piers for shelter,but the fishing was slow. One o'clock we went back out not to bad now the wind had eased. Fishing was dog dog and more dog, and a couple of nice whiting on slack. It was a lovely sunny day to be out shame about the wind, never mind good day had by all. Kev

The one that bit back!! Jacob as bass bait!!

Well it was a good forecast and how right they we're. Well the grandson kept on about bass fishing after the bass comp to try for a bigger one. Came down Saturday evening and stayed on boat,in the morning it was so still there was mist coming off the water with a real nip in the air. Off we go to find bait quick stop at are secret mark bingo scad and pout , away east we go second drift reel screamed off Fish on not to me that damn Jacobs rod after a good fight bass 5 lb 9 oz in the net lucky boy. Few drifts later my turn fish on turns out 3 lb 8oz nice fish after blanking in the bass comp it was a great fish. Then Jacob had another at 3 lb and I drop one. So it was a great day to be out in shorts and shirt off, a drift by the piers with a few boats proved fruitless never mind we had a great day out Jacob and kev Ps now he wants to do the ray comp
