How did you get on Alun Much around Kev

Allan I have the garmin 12 inch touch screen. I think it's the best thing since sliced bread. Very easy to use you can miss what your aiming at when its a bit lumpy but I would think any screen would be the same Kev

Well early start this morning to hunt the flounder, left home at 5 30 am meet up with Dave and mick.a quick chat and plan A. 2 mins from mooring and down go the secret baits and up comes crabs after crabs after crabs . Time goes by and luck would happen , up comes Neil to see what's catching , as he rounds the fish up circling round bang goes my float result a plump 4 lb 4 oz flounder. Well I'll have to thank Neil for the stir up as it turned out to be the winning fish And the Christmas hamper was mine . After the weigh in she went back alive good to see her swim away. It was a nice sunny day but what a bitter cold wind, well done to all that fished the comp And thanks to Dave and Mick for the abuse all day , o and the bacon and egg rolls they were great Cheers Kev Hope there will be pictures to follow thanks to Charlie

Well as nig said it was a lovely day to be afloat, got a bit lost going down the harbour in the thick fog. we had a slow start with only one LSD in the first hour. Then the tide was slack and the fish went mad 2 cod the big one to mick 18.9 then the grandson Jacob said I got a bite, the rod was in half I thought wow big cod after A big fight and almost pulling in the 7year old I had to help him and up she popped a cracking 25 lb plus blonde ray,that was a great moment for Jacob and me. Mick had another ray10 lb we had lots of good whiting. It was worth the drive down the night before and sleeping on the boat albeit freezing, it was A very good day had by all I will send a pic of me holding fish as Jacob couldn't lift it,if I could send it to someone by email as I can't load the picture Kev

Got a phone call from Alun about a bass trip. So Tuesday morning up early 5oclock just to see everything Frozen up never mind set off all exicited Got to aluns quick cup tea and away we go. -2 at slip ice at Edge of the harbour Set up first drift a fair breeze pushing us at 2 1/2 knots When the tide slowed a bit the bites started first to me good fish on good fight only to throw hook at side of boat Blast I said Alun said that was near double figures Next drift aluns into one 9 pounder in cracking condition Then another to him 3 ish Then my turn bang goes the float lovely fight on light gear just under 8 pounds well pleased, we had a couple more up to 5 1/2 and some more dropped takes All in it was a great day albeit freezing A big thanks to the bass man, and he even gave me a Lobster for me tea Kev With a big smile

Well done to you that managed to get a flat I tried hard for first 1 1/2 hours then grandson got bored So moved out to find somthing that would bite That kept him happy with maccys and other small fish What a lovely day to be be out and a few fish for tea Better luck next time Kev
