  1. If fish are left to get warm the flesh will quickly go soft/mushy We always take an icey tek cool box even in the winter. In the winter your squid stays frozen in the box so if not used it can go back in the freezer when home. During the summer put a load of ice/packs frozen bottles or even better flaked or crushed ice in there then when you catch fish they can go in and stay in tip top condition all day. When we go to Alderney, the box packed with ice will keep fish in tip top condition for 4 or 5 days The added bonus is that beer is also always cool Martin
  2. Dean and I used to with maverick but only on the right slip but not that fast
  3. I think our current chat room will only allow 5 or 6 in at a time. If it got popular we would have to get a paid version so as more could use it. Let us know what you think. Martin

  18. Well Dean spent last weekend polishing and scrubbing Awol so she is beginning to look pretty good now. Need to do one or two more jobs to get her A1 but well on the way. Looking forward to doing a shake down cruise/fish just to ensure everything works prior to the club trip over the channel. Doing a radar course this coming Sunday to try and learn how to use the on board kit properly. Following weeks it will be out and about playing on the boat....at last More updates later

  23. It's more like a rewards card, you receive 2% of purchase price in vouchers but only in £5 amounts ie need to spend £250 before claiming your first voucher. Hum just checked and the link to discount card that was on the old forum. It must have been lost during the transition from our old forum to the new one. I will try and find a copy and post up later Martin
  24. Would agree with Rob Icom are a good make in fact I have had Icom on my last three boats . The model he highlights is what I currently have on AWOL and it works fine with all the bits needed on it. The other factor to bear in mind is their after service which is apparently brilliant but I can't comment on that as have never had to use it Martin
  25. I would agree with Brian except there is someone still there who was originally there namely Robert Braithwaite Sent from my Samsung S2
