  2. Hi Paul Well done I really like the new format for the site especially having the nav bar across the top and it being available in the forum. The colour is good as well One thing could the links page be put in the navigation bar with all the links within it or are there to many for a drop down list. keep up the good work Cheers Martin
  3. Elaine I've been clicking here for ages I just don't get it, certainly kept me busy Oh! keep taking the Stugeron Martin

  6. Hi all We are in the process of looking for sponsors for our November open competition. Without sponsors our comps would struggle to make a profit and that would be a shame as not only would our club dip out but so would our designated good cause. If you know any business that might give a donation of goods, services or money (which is tax deductible) then ask them or email me with there details and I wil approach them. Please do not post here the names of prospective sponsors as we wouldnt want to give ideas to other organisations. Kind regards Martin
  7. Cheers to all those who organised the summer comp. It seems to have been great success. Now you know what its like on the sharp end Seriously though, thanks for all your hard work and I look forward to your input in the next comp. Martin
  8. Mike Sounds like we are in a win win situation Just the kind of situations I like Seriously though, would be nice to hear back good or bad Martin
  9. Nice one Pete its nearly as big as you , who's lifting who Martin
  10. OOOops Forgot to give my report Rich and I went west to Dancing ledge, struggled to get mackerel but got enough for bait and topped that up durinbg the course of the day. First drop I have a small thornback ray of around 5lb a good omen for the day thought i. From then on in it got slow. I did manage a 9lb3oz undulate and a 13 oz Cucko Wrasse, what a spectacularly beautiful looking fish, very tropical like. Also had a Bream of 2lb 8oz. So not a disaster but could have been a lot better. I'll let Rich tell of what he had. Martin
  11. Peter Nice fish If its digital or you have scanned it into your pc can you email it to either Paul or myself. we can load it for you. Although if you know where the photo is stored ie which drive (probably your camera, on my pc its drive F) and where on that drive the photo is your almost there. When you posting look for the browse button, click on that, look for the designated letter/drive for your camera or where the photo is stored selct that/select the photo/selct open and thats it. Post your message and your piccy should be there on the forum Martin
  12. Hi James Well done mate some nice fish there. Toma if you want some of that it'll have to be a long day for you to Drive down here, fish then Drive all that way back again Martin
  13. Mike In our club rules a pennel rig i.e two hooks in one bait is classed as one hook. There is no such rule to cover three hooks in one bait so I guess it isn't allowed. I havent heard of anyone using three hooks in one bait Martin
  14. Newboy When collecting bait it doesnt matter how many feathers you have on your trace, its just that fish wont count in our clubs comps or awards if caught on a rod with more than two hooks. Martin
  15. Good advice there from our local man on the scene. Cheers Dave Martin
  16. It was all about farming cod off of Scotland in a redundant salmon farm. I have taped it if anyone wants to see it. Not very informative about cod stocks though Martin
  17. Paul Your the man Much appreciated by all the users Martin
  18. Nice one Pete you deserve a break mate, see you out There Martin
  19. Adam I whole heartedly agree with your comments, some nights I just sit here clicking view new posts, and there they are, loadsa them. This forum is the best without doubt for our chosen spere of the sport (Small Boat Angling) in fact I dont think I have found another dedicated to our sector of the sport, plenty of do it alls but not quite the same are they. Our members ar fantastic, no filth, no bitching just good advice and banter EXCELLENT NB it will stay this way as us mods have the power! and we will use it. Keep it up members, you know it makes sense.........sorta.....does it... Mad Mike? Martin
  20. ? If your in the same boat surely your not crewless Martin
  21. well thats families for you. Martin
  22. Cheers Billy, thanks for the info Martin
  23. Hi Sorry to disagree with Mike but you can use grip leads when down tide fishing, not that I have. You lower your takle (fishing that is) down to the bottom with your griplead in place, allow a large bow of line out which under the pressure of the tide should set the wires. Like I said I havent used this method but there is no reason why it shouldn't work Martin
  24. I am glad we sorted you out the right name Mad Mike Martin
  25. Duncan If it helps your crew member does not have to be a club member. However if your crew is a none club member they cannot join in the comp. The rule for minimum 2 crew is purely for safety and is obviously useful for clarrification of catches Martin
