  5. Half way there. The text went through ok. But the photo did not display.
  6. Test Photo.image:13578 Any good captions? Looks like the Christmas sales have started.
  7. Happy Birtday Neal. Hope you have a good one. Allan.
  8. The Bridge will be closed most of the time. When Coddy says re open it means it will lift/ re open at times shown in the Harbour Commissioner Notices to Mariners displayed on their website. This will allow vessels which have a high air draft to pass underneath. In my case, I need an air draft clearance of 1.70 meters with radar arch, aerial etc lowered. Allan.
  9. Didn't give us the mark. The one you gave us nearly cost me an anchor and we all kept snagging something. So moved to a new mark ( not too far away). Allan.
  10. Given the calm weather today, we decided to leave Cobbs fairly early to get the 7.30 Bridge and head west. On board today were myself, Jan and John Dunster who joined us for his first trip on Fisheagle. As the tides were very large, we decided to stop a mile or two before the Island. Conditions were quite favourable, if a little chilly. It was great to get out after nearly six weeks without a proper trip. The fishing was pretty much as expected, loads of dogs and large pouting as soon as fish baits were used. These were interspersed with good sized whiting to everyone going to 3 lbs. The inevitable conger, the largest to just over 20 lbs to Jan and a bonus pollack over 13 lbs. Alas, no cod. Alln.   [attachment=6891:20171205_105753.jpeg]
  11. Dave asked me to say that we had four fish between us from 9.30 am. To 2 pm. What he asked me not to say was that one of us on the boat caught no fish. My best was 2lbs. 7ozs. The others were around 8 ozs. Some of the crabs weighed almost as much. At one stage to break the bordom, we were trying to see how many crabs we could land in one go and listening to the Ch16 call about a boat on rocks in Swanage Bay. Don't think other club boats out there fared much better. Frank Morris said he and Jan had two, one around 8 ozs and Jan one of 3 lbs 4ozs. We thought it was a wind up so we asked tbem to send us a picture, but we are still waiting. That's it, Flounder Gear now stored away 'till next year and replaced by something sronger if this Tuesday's forcast holds. Allan.
  12. Fisheagle and Happy Hooker will both be out in Holes Bay as we have bait we have bought to use up. A shorter session with less pressure. Always difficult for those who have to make the call. Allan.

  18. Happy Birtday Oli, have a great day.
  19. Having struggled locally to get a range of uptide leads, I spoke to Andy at Poole Sea Angling who now stocks a few of most weights. If you require more than a few of any size, please give him a day or twos notice. Prices seem very reasonable. 4oz £1.20 10oz £1.70 6oz £1.40 12oz £2.00 8oz £1.60 16 oz £2.20 Allan.
  20. Happy Birthday Steve. Have a good one. Allan.
  21. Happy Birtday everyone. A good fishing day. Allan.
  22. Am I right in assuming our Club Cod Comp. Is the 26 th. Nov and the Poole Sea Angling one is the 19th. Nov? Allan.
