  1. Thanks Neil, I have text him your details and he should contact you when he has finished work. Please remember he is only on temporary loan for one trip. See you at the weigh in . Allan.
  2. Fisheagle can't make this one as there is some Warranty Work which is on going and could run into early next week. Good luck to all fishing, will probably get to the weigh in. Jan Triska (Club Member) was going to crew for me, he knows the Harbour and would like to fish the Competition if anyone still has a spare place. Please ring me on 07758356474. and I will pass on a message. Many Thanks. Allan.
  3. I have a few spare fuji reel seats (Winch type) from my rod building days. Depends on diameter. You may need to cut/grind the old one off and then replace the grip. I have a few of those as well or use something called Karakal it may prove cheaper. Available from sports shops it is used for racket handles. Also consider shrink wrap and foam handlebar type grip-again cheap if you want to do it yourself. I probably have some of this lying round but it could be red or black not sure which 'till I search in the garage. Allan.
  4. Fisheagle will be heading out from Parkstone just after 8am.and returning mid afternoon. We will have myself, Mick (Sparky) and his friend on board. Hope there is not too much fog. Have arranged to talk to Pathfinder with Frank Morris on board who is heading out slightly before us and may head for the Island to let us know what it is like. We will probably be off Southbourne chasing the Mini Beast of the Bay providing the Trawlers let me get on the spot and there are still fish there. On Ch 6. Allan.
  5. Happy birthday John. Long time no see . Miss our conversations we used to have at Cobbs. Allan.

  20. Brilliant! Allan.
  21. We happened to be in Swanage Angling at 4.50pm. this afternoon. We had seen and heard emergency vehicles going up the track behind the Pier to Peverill Point. Don't know the whole story, but we were told that a couple of people had been Coasteering, and that one had been got out of the water and another was trapped. ,Not a nice situation in any weather, but with winds at Force 9 and 10ft. plus waves, light fading and the tide rising things were getting worse.Heard that two Lifeboats were called out and that a Helicopter was on the way. Hope everyone involved was OK, makes you think. Allan.
  22. I happened to be in Poole this afternoon and dropped into Poole Sea Angling Centre for a few bits and bobs.. Andy asked me to point out that there is an error on the Posters that are out there for his COMPETITION ON SUNDAY 15 th.DEC. 2013. The Weigh in will no longer be at the Pure Drop Inn, but at THE MARINA CLUB in Poole. He also asked me to say he thought it would prove a better venue as there is a huge car park wihich will be free/at a nominal charge just up from the Town Bridge which could also take small boat trailers. He also hopes that the venue, which has had some refurbishment will be more suitable and that the food will be better. No doubt, fuller details will appear on this Site in due course. Allan.
