    Trailer tyres

Try trailertek.co.uk these guys are great and for me it was cheaper to buy new wheels with fitted tyres than tyres alone!
  2. If only I can frikin hook one Adam!
  3. Jolly good work Adam - Can we have a bit of breeze to hold us up on the drift? Then veering or backing 180 (not fussed which) on the turn of the tide? Not too much sun maybe a little haze! Rob
  4. Like CC will take crew again on a big conger hunt. TB nicked his record from under his nose a couple of years ago!
  5. Not overly keen on charters myself anyway - so no brainer for me! Need even less brains to decide if JoJo was capable to go!!! (no comments Jim \ Charlie) This is seriously wetting my appetite for Alderney - only been once and cant wait to go again. Nothing like heading out of Poole in a flotilla, everyones excited and nervous. Thinking about what have we forgotten or should have brought. Not that it matters as other boats will be there to lend a hand. On the days fishing in Alderney the boats leave the harbour, following plans laid down by the skippers over a few beers the night before. Boats may head in a group, pairs or on own, always keeping in close radio contact with others (in fact more than if we were fishing at home). Damn I hope the weather lets us go! Off to research my 20lb turbo rig! Rob
  6. "Computer says "NO""
  7. Martin, I woudl be interested in: 1: Pillar drill 2: Ladder standoff Thanks Rob
  8. Graham, Last year Dave of WM had an inflatable dinghy, Alun brought a small O/B, Craig carried it on his Aux bracket (Team Effort). This meant that I was able to take 2 x 25ltr jerry cans from JV in to the inner harbour with only 6" of water. Mainbrayce filled them and i plodded back with them onboard. The system worked well and I think other boats used the inflatable for the same. Rob
  9. Graham, Start contacting the skippers via PM, phone or email. Not all will be looking at \ paying attention to the list of crew in waiting! Rob
  10. According to Charlie I am a Veteran of many trips - but I certainly got a sense of adventure gong through the swinge in a 21ft boat Nothing wrong with that, it is all about the right speed for the conditions with is inversly proportionate to the sanity of the skipper - say no more!!! (who said he could have 600hp on the next one!!!)

No swell. That's Trev's view of the world, he's only little!!!
  12. Cool - I have only been once, besides the good fishing, the crack in the evening \ during the day between boats is a high light! I expect for the "old hands" they don't get such sense of adventure as I did. Rob

  17. That's not a brown! That's a brown (private lake a stones throw from Adams house!!!): Is the colour difference the breeding \ strain Trev or time of year etc?
  18. And that's a 10lb'er!!! Got any Tigers or Char??? p.s. is that a brook?
  19. Don't believe everything you see\read!!! "More fishing from mental kayakers as one angler gets towed for five hours by a massive marlin. Some excellent footage of leaping marlin." Funny, he changed his Yak and shirt during the video - mind you I haven't listened to the commentary! Rob
  20. Happy Birthday Paul. Rob

    Elec start

Is a 2.5 going to go more than 5knts? If not go electric! I think what you want is this: http://www.porta-bote.com/?gclid=CPnr9ZCU7KYCFRN-5QodMF8UAw I am not a Yakker, but I woudl have thought some of the appeal was the enjoyment of exercise, satisfaction of paddeling under your own steam and the peace and quiet! If you want a boat get one! How about an inflatable if storage is an issue? How do you insure yourself \ craft? Can you? Should you? Are you prepared to lose your house etc if you hurt someone if you can't get insurance?
  22. Enjoy!
  23. Enjoy Mark - though I bet your on a night shift!!! Rob
  24. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger!!! But in a word Oli - NO!
  25. Oil - taste is to be sure - you could have rain water building up and you dislodge it in rough weather!!!! be sure be sure be sure!
