  4. I found this site for rod rings and Neil from Bournemouth Fishing Lodge also recommended it. http://www.hopkinsholloway.co.uk/ They have every type you can imagine P&P cheap too! If you are not sure call them, apparently very helpful and know what they are talking about (which is rare these days)! This cropped up in conversation as Adam needed a tip ring and he suggested I share. Rob

    Live Bait Bucket

The handle doesn't match the bucket and it's not blue - other than that he would want a pair!!!

Charlie, Unless you get the perfect fit the floro leader can get damaged down the micro gap between perspex and bucket. Jim, Leftover makrolon from replacing Star Turns windscreen (yes I broke it!). I think you can get sheets of it \ similar from B&Q. Rob

    Live Bait Bucket

All, I have had various issues with dangled live baits on the way back up to start a drif again - no matter what they some how knit-one-pearl-on. For my last couple of trips out I took my new Live Bait Bucket and it worked really well (p.s. wait for silicone sealant to dry before use!!). I cut 2 squares of plastic and cut a groove halfway doen one and half up the other, cut some holes to ensure water levels out (not needed and fit is not too tight at bottom). Use sealant to 1. hold them in when filing over the side 2. stop line getting caught between the and the edge of teh bucket. Pics attached: Rob
  9. Good effort Mark - enjoying the reports. Thinking about trying for plaie from one of my do-nuts!!! I have oars - might sort something!!!! Keep em coming! Rob
  10. Great turn out - is the weather going to be good?
  11. I don't suppose you can wire it up to mains! Did they fingerprint the engine? Do you have DataTAG? I have put it all over JoJo and her electronics. Rob
  12. Shotgun license maybe? I have used swann kit at work and it seems pretty good and easy to use - PC based. Other than that the Bosch Divar kit is good too but prob cost nearly as much as your main engine! If you want the low down on the swann kit let me know. How about a security light so the can see what they are doing? Rob

    First fishing trip

Dave - welcome - anypics of the restoration to show us? A portland rig with lures etc needs a moving tide and the boat to be on the drift - otherwise you need to drop the portland and add your own movement in to the lures. Pop along tonight to the club meeting and pick a few brains!!! Rob

I think Charlie C is on to something - being connected to a etring of pots then lifted by the way is going to have a huge effect of the boat. In the pic of it boken on the beach the arm from the winch is missing and she has broken in two along that line. I suspect without the pots attached it would have been lifted and twisted an dumped back down and survived.
