I have a 5 pounder sat whole in a grill pan at the mo.
Though tried a little when filleting the others earlier!!!
Butter sauce and some Jerseys with fried leek, cabbage and panchetta! Mmmmm!
What shave we have tomorrow? Cod? Pollack? or More Turbo? Decisions decisions!
I agree, this is not a go at Gordon's post but purely an observation.
Anyhow, thought diving was an adventure - shame to see it before you get there, may as well stay dry!!!
It is a sad state of affairs when private fishing boats need such high-tech kit to find fish!
If only the money spent on this was put to supporting the AT and getting that Golden Mile.
Is this kit the "Pair tralwer" of the small boat world. We will find every last fish hiding place and catch-em?
Won't be buying one until there are so many fish that the screen is full of them, give the fish a chance!

Well done and a great report.
I am really excited about the possibility of catching some Tope towards the end of next week on the other side of the channel!
Bring it on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I caught a ride with Paul Frey on Imagine today (what a great boat).
We headed out to beat the Friday rush at 07:30!!
After a couple of changes we found Bream, halfa dozen keepers and a few smaller \ females bursting returned.
We found the odd mackerel then hit a spot where they were plentiful. Nothing sounds more like summer than a mackerel flapping in a cool box!
Whilst feathering we were treated to a pod of dolphins passing by on the surface, two headed straight for us and did a "Red Arrows" split and dive to just go under the boat on their flanks - amazing! (and much much bigger than I thought!). After breaming we were treated to an arial display from them in the Swash, no that's a day out!
Thanks Paul - same again next time please!!

Is that twin 250 2-stokes? as per advert : http://www.boatsandoutboards.co.uk/view/PAA2536
You must have deeeeeeeeeeep pockets!!!
Hold on to your hat!!!
I'm not convinced he went all the way round the Island even once - all the articles would appear rich on hype, ridicule and exaggeration.
they all seem to agree he had a 20l fuel tank though - and that's not going to get him that far! (yes I know all the people on here would work the tides, use optimum throttle settings and get all the way to Southampton on 20 ltrs )
Mr Fox would!!!
Temp Update two weeks ago:
53, 51.6, 48, 47, 46.4
Today:
56.5 , 55.2, 50.2, 49.5, 48
so looks like the warmer water is slowly getting to us.
The middle number is nearest Alderney - 50.2 is 10.1 in new money. An the 55.2 is 12.9!!!
Wahooooooo!
I had that boat - just remember the marking that says max power is "50hp" is for the old way of measuring power (at the fly wheel) - now I believe that it is measured at the prop. So a modern 50hp is too big and could invalidate any insurance and RCD regs.
I think a modern 40hp falls within the 50hp max rating of the old Dory Eurosports. (Had a new Johnson 40 2 stroke on mine 5 years ago and it was mentally fast!)
