    Help!

This has benn discussed before and I believe that a member had hired a trailer from Ambrose and it had zero brakes!!!!! A while ago now but somthing to check if towing far! Could you not pop the QS on a morring for the duration of the collection (assuming you can use the trailer you already have) - I expect there are members here with mooring free or know of ones that are.
  6. Love the membership rules that have a number of references assuming the member is male and has a wife! A proper gentlemans club that assumes all members will be men - classic!!! "The Spouse of a Full Member has the right to fish for the Ladies Trophy" Rob
  7. Nice write up Trev, action packed with congers! Well done for sticking with it. Rob
  8. Welcome Steve, Hope to see you out there! Rob
  9. Nice idea! Thanks
  10. I fished today with Neal, John and Charlie on Cout Jester. We were all fishing both cod comps, Club and PSAC. From the off we were in to Whiting and the odd pout. As the tide turned I had a litte bite and gave line and the fish was willing to take the line. After a mo I lifted and off she went, I thought it was a small conger untill Neal saw it and advised it was what we were after. After getting the fish onboard we all thought she was going to go bigger than the 13lb 6.5oz she went! It was the huge belly that fooled us all! We then had a few whiting and a strap to John but little else for the whole of the flood. After being dropped off at the Quay to find the Pure Drop (finally I found it), I was the first fish to weigh in and slowly people turned up with fish of various sizes (it made it a long 30 minutes!!!). The closest fish was only 3oz or so smaller than mine so only a few spats in it (in fact the cod had a few sprats inside and the big belly was all roe). I also found a "Sea Mouse" or two in the stomach - something I had never heard of before - http://www.wildengland.com/node/236 So a big thanks to Poole Sea Anging Centre for the Comp and Neal and the guys for the fishing. Rob

  13. For me it is the "Adamblank", as I have fished it twice with no sucess
  14. "One of the problems is many of us have become used to the current state of fishing as the norm, no idea of what fishing could or should be like." I agree Paul - take Canada as an extreme example - lots of regulation, expensive licenses, bag limits, seasons for vaious species and LOADS of good fishing. I'd be well up for that in the UK!
  15. I think if someone won't join for

I think it is fine to do if you lay your boat up for winter but not many of us do! (I think it is for fair waether boaters who dont go out after Nov until Spring). I find that running up the engine every 2 or 3 weeks for 15 mins gets it nice un warm and charges battery etc. Other than that I do nothing. It is thae same as using it mostly. Rob
  22. Trev - what you are looking for is a trailer or dry stack!!!
  23. Which version \ model di dyou buy? It sounds to me like you have bought an add-on unit and not a full system if it has no SD slot. Did you get it in the UK? Rob
  24. My Mondeo has a towing legal limit of 1800kgs, but I am not sure I would want to tow anything that weighs more than the car any great diatance! Rob
