  6. A friend of mine is selling this, nice guy, let me know if you want to make contact! 1998 Hardy Family Pilot 20 powered by single Honda 75hp four stroke petrol outboard engine which was last serviced in May 2015. Excellent cruising/fishing boat ideal for the south coast. Well worth a viewing. http://www.parkstonebayyachts.com/boats-for-sale/view/Hardy-Family-Pilot-20-1998-for-sale-poole-4059597

    Oban Fishing

There have been thoughts that the "poole bay monster" is possibly a skate! Mike is going to fish a pair of doggies on a pennel and get one!! (Hopefully)
  15. Enjoy!
  16. You should have seen the plonker dunking a brand new Lexus! Must have been a company car.....it was, I have a photo somewhere, perhaps it was a club member!!! [emoji12]

    Oban Fishing

Dave aka Coddy has landed such a beast up that way, I'm sure he'll be along soon. Graham, trail Albatross up there! The only real satisfaction comes from doing it all yourself!!!!
  18. Didn't mention that when she started she purred! She had a strong pulse and vital signs were very good. As for the supernatural, I'm still going with "weird"!
  19. We might just go fishing and get JV bloody!!
  20. Yep, loose wire when it was knocking around for a yr!!!
  21. There was a "incident" with a hydraulic pipe, that will delay the launch, but not slow the progress. As discussed, better to fail on the drive than off Old Harry!
  22. So yesterday was a busy one! Set off home at 08:00 returning at 23:20, time spent mostly boat building & eating! Bob F was onsite looking at electrics & trouble shooting (fridge, heating & fuel sender). Dan C as onsite to service the engine & leg with Ad. Did you know that the Volvo won't start unless the leg is in "beach trim" or lower, we do, now!!!!!!! That was a frustrating hour, but at least all is double checked now!!!!! I cracked on with the bathing platform ladder/ support & niggly bits. Inc. Flagging off some gel repairs and polishing them out (hadn't done this before but was easy with the right tools). I spent more time in the bilge than I had hoped! Tacking up wires and final tidying, routing and wiring the 240v system, toilet door locks and mounting pad, routing and connecting new bilge hoses, trimming hatch lock, polished and cleaned the stern...... Great hosts as always, plenty of tea / coffee and grub! Here are a few pics from Rachael F.

    Plastic welding

I've fixed fuel can with a soldering iron, but it needs to be clean - empty of fuel and vapour! And you need a similar plastic to feed in to the iron.
