  1. I have done that before for a friend with a 28ft yacht. Remember to call the bridge and advise them you are under tow. They waited for us as the tide at the (old) bridge was ebbing quite fast. SOG was slooooow going! Mid you, it was twice the length of JoJo and probably 10x the weight. So it's a no from me!!!! [emoji1]
  2. It was also more of a warning to look out for them!
  3. Nuts!!
  4. I like the gull sat there thinking "I'll have that if he throws it back in" [emoji3]

Thanks for the write up. Do you mind if I take an extract to send to a couple of the sponsors? Rob
  7. Trimming of the vinyl: I know Ad has been on it again today, so he will have quite an update to do.
  8. Stern view, black and white theme: Adam waiting for me to tighten a bolt!!!!
  9. Adam will no doubt be along at some point to add to the update (most pics on his phone). Yesterday after the booking if for the Open, I headed over to chez Franklin once again. What a glorious day, not once did Adam or I envy those competitors out on the briney!!!!! [emoji22] Anyway, JV won't build herself so: I fitted the hand rails / over hang supports to the cabin / roof, fitted the new rod rack across the transom, with some help from Ad. Wired and mounted the shore power socket. During this, Ad was fettling with window surrounds, flowcoating the toilet floor and sizing up the toilet seating position. He / we also hung the toilet door, discussed latch options etc. Then came the big 2 man job, laying the vinyl flooring!! He had had issues finding anyone reliable to do this and the mention of "safety flooring" seemed to act as a deterrent! So we thought, how hard can this be. So, we made a template, drew it on the roll of flooring, cut it out (a few mil oversized all round) and tried it for size. Funnily enough, it was a few mil too big, as expected, so a trim in place and it was looking good! I then had to leave to head back to Cobbs for the photo finish / setup prize table etc etc. Then in the evening, Jo and I met up with Adam and Rachel for dinner and theatre in Wimborne, needless to say, we had plenty to talk about still!
  10. Only 10 trips mind!!! [emoji2]
  11. Just to add, make sure you have enough to fish hurds deep on Alfreso! 190m and I had to change reels! I had only just woke and thought they had changed the FF to feet for a laugh!!!

  18. You not fishing Charlie? Working I assume. How about popping over for the food at the end of the day?
  19. Some goodies arrived today!
  20. If anyone has any contacts who want to be sponsors, please let me know. We will put you logo on the front page of the website until the next comp etc etc. Lots of small prizes are better than one big one, if possible!!! Thanks, Rob
  21. Points and rules:
  22. Rules above now Dave - i will also upload a points sheet. We have dropped the "Bonus Points" as this was allowing the species specalisty boats "runaway" from the every day angler. Now, my plan to win is catch an Anglerfish, Blue Shark and a halibut! That could beat a boat with many more species!!
