    Salt removal

I did the saltx thing when I got mine, that was with a recycling bilge pump and leg off. Not practical for regular use.
  3. Bracket prep done boss: Helped by a 6 yr old, will top coat tomorrow. R
  4. The bait fish to be shared thing could work well or not. Do you suggest the skipper goes for bait fish first, how long for, do you baitfish at your fishing spot or else where, when do you suggest lines down, then you have a max of 6 hrs fishing, have to be back by 17:00, do you sacrifice fishing time to travel back from a further but more productive grounds? Nice to see you can fish for your own baitfish during the comp.
  5. Another 12 hours away from the family for a worthy cause! Tbh, I'm enjoying seeing / doing the finishing touches. Not long now and the blood on the deck won't be ours! R

    Bits n bobs

Saw these bits at TR Fasteners today. Looked interesting for use onboard. All stainless. The bags are £1 a go, 2 pieces in each, unless more shown in pic. Above and below pics are the same - I like the look of these for tie down points in the bile / lockers on JoJo. Get a cable tie or cord through that loop just lovely! This is a pic of the non- stainless board as there was something infront blocking the stainless one!!!

Just having a bit more fun with my WaterWolfHD after trying it on the Turbot of the Shambles. This is a bank off Dartmouth, i couldn't get through the 1lb macs and Whiting from robbing baits dragged for turbot! Anyhow, here is some bait gathering footage. The deepest darkest drops are 35m and the shallowest 18m. Rob https://youtu.be/cC_Jp6S7wiY
  16. Bearing savers are better! Loading the hub with too much grease can unseat the rear seal, possibly then letting in water.
  17. Shouldn't you have 4 bearings?
  18. You planting up Ellen?
  19. Enjoy!
  20. Nice work Mike!
  21. Good call Dave! It's surprising that they aren't compulsory.
  22. The search has been stood down: http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/12969395.UPDATE__Major_search_for_diver_who_failed_to_surface_is_suspended/ Keep em peeled guys. Rob
