  4. Hi Graham Re the fuel pipe, is it the fuel pipe from your tank to the engine you are referring to? If so do you have the large bore pipe/connector to allow sufficient fuel flow? There are normally two 5/16" or 3/8" I would think you need 3/8" dia. Saw a similar problem on another forum with a 140hp with same problem, turned out to be too smaller id fuel pipe and it was also collapsing where it was held with a zip clip. Do you mean the primer bulb? This should have a one way valve built in but if the fuel flow is too great it might collapse under suction? Sorry to hear of water leak problems, should be an easy fix for you now, with all your GRP skills and a good size dowel in the hole. Did a quick check and I would think you did approx 10nm each way so approx 2ltrs/mile which seems a bit excessive for a 115HP Dave

  7. Sorry to hear the news, too many people think they can just help themselves to whatever they want. Problem is IF they get caught there is no deterant to stop them doing it again. I hope you get the insurance sorted out ok. Dave
  8. Hi all I saw this and thought it may help those of you who use a lazy line or anchor & retreve from the cockpit of the boat. I haven't tried it yet but will give it a go next time I am out http://www.animatedknots.com/alpinebutterfly/index.php Dave
  9. Hi Toby I would suggest a talk to these people http://www.smlmarinepaints.co.uk/ What they don't know about which stuff to use and how to apply it is not worth knowing. I have used Jotun antifoul and found it very good, in fact I still have it on my boat which is on a trailer at home! Used to have a moored boat in Holes Bay, yes slime on the waterline but a few quick blasts soon helps remove most of it, a quick wash & brush up using your tender and the majority comes off. Dave
  10. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHARLIE Hope you had a good day. When you get as old as me you can "think" about retiring, Dave

  23. Dan Might be worth a good search on oil pump problems as I recall some people did disconnect the auto oil pump due to problems and then self mixed the oil in the fuel. If I come accross anything I will make a post. I would suggest a good service and check over by a good marine engineer before going out as you don't want to be caught out in the run at Christchurch or Keyhaven with the tide going out! Dave
