  1. If you do decide on a trailaway, you can carry on for a bit East, the fishing is great over here at Hebe Bay too, low 30's, but a little wet, large snappers, bream of some sort and groupers being caught just off shore ......
  2. Is it big enough to threaten the club record?
  3. Sent off for some quotes and just hope expensive isn't too expensive , it's got to be cheaper than cobbs.......
  4. I need to import a dog into the UK from Hong Kong, rule for export is simple here, just need to make an appointment for blood test to proof dog is clean then export is allowed. What is the quarantine law in the UK (bearing in mind Hong Kong is not part of the pet passport scheme)? I know one way is do it 6 months in advance so all necessary test and jabs are done, other way is to import the dog and have it put in quarantine for 6 months. But what I need to know is, do I need to book the dog in advance or can I just stick it in a plane and have it quarantine on arrival? Thanks in advance.
  5. Wishing everyone who is a father a great day and get treated like a king by their children, and everyone whose father are still with them time to say thank you for all the love they had shown.
  6. If you like dogfish, you will love smoothies, theie flesh is much sweeter.
  7. I'm pretty sure the car park is free, but trailers are left near the slipway I think. Also the road leading down to the ferry point is quite narrow and buses use that route.
  8. If your engine takes a fair amount of elbow power to start it, converting it to elec start won't make it easier to start ( apart from you don't have to pull it yourself), if there's never any problems, then just leave it as it is.
  9. I think she is 2-3k over priced.
  10. I'm merely implying boats coming out from X'church tend to do better, if I remember right, PD, AJ,... always do quite well spinning for mullets in the harbour.
  11. Don't think poor cod counts as a cod .......
  12. Are you wearing a mask? I thought you would be please with such a clonker of a fish ...... Again, great fish.
  13. Not one of out larger members I hope .....
  14. My guess is PD will be in the top 3. With the mullets in the harbours and wrasse, pouts, mackies, pollocks, bream, bass on the Ledge.

I was going to say 18 and 10 lbs before I saw the answer. Peter's fish was well documented, didn't it share or come very close to the record? A picture is worth a thousand words..... but that depends on how big the bloke (or woman) is holding the fish as well as how far he/she sticks it if front of the camera. Hence most fish you see me holding is pretty huge
  16. Is that a female? If it is, it's a monster fish consider females are smaller. Well done either way.
  17. Don't give them too much credit..... I think they are plain nuts....
  18. I've been told there's even A CHINESE take away in Alderney . The emphasis is on A......, apparently he serves and he cooks and he cleans, a real one man band.
  19. I've caught both common and starry around the island.
  20. Easily confirmed if you take a look at the catch gallery whether a fish is a spotted one or not .....
  21. You can always send Martin to St Peters Port to get the kebabs ......
  22. Not sure about uptider, if money is tight, go without one first and then see what happen. Stay away from the Penn International something (?) the big promote crap from last year. My mates bought a set each and they were really happy with it...... cos they get to send it back and got their money back . After 6 months use, the gold plated surface started to bubble up.
  23. Happy Birthday, and wishing you every fish you catch is a pb.
