  1. Thanks for that Charlie. I'll see if In can arrange to pop in sometime.
  2. Dave Same chart, I just wondered how much more detail the Navionics Gold has.
  3. I thinking of things that Diane can buy me for Christmas. My plotter came with the Nauticpath chart, I'm considering getting the Navioncs Gold Small, Start Point to Chichester (5g561s2) for approx.
  4. I think I'll go out for a few hours tomorrow, see if I can find some flounders. I'll launch at Cobbs and probably stay in Holes Bay as I need to be home early. If anyone else is out, give me a call, we can compare "catches"!!!!!

    Members boat photos

Martin I've had a go, but the only folder that appears in the dropdown is the one I've created. Please could you copy the picture from there. http://www.pbsbac.co.uk/photoalbum/display...e.php?pos=-2231
  6. How do I add a photo of MegaByte to the Members Boats? Or do I send it to someone to do it for me?
  7. Terry ??????? Or did you mean Derek?
  8. Yes Brian they were all caught in that spot. Very small polystyrene floats on hook lengths tested in the bath just enough to keep most of the crabs away. I've got some small trace floats, but didn't have them with me. Hopefully I'll get out during the week and give it another try,
  9. Thanks Carl Did you get your flounders where we saw you? we were plagued with crabs so moved.
  10. I don't know what it was like outside the harbour, but we didn't have very much water movement inside, which might account for the lack of bites.
  11. Probably was me. We launched at Cobbs, under Poole Bridge about 10ish and up to Wareham Channel, no luck up there, back down to drift off Patchins, blanked, so up towards Rockley then back into Holes Bay, picked up a mooring buoy for an hour or so. No fish but put some more time on the engine, soon be ready for it's 20 hour service.
  12. Did anyone catch anything, we blanked on "MegaByte", appart from a few checkers that kept stealing the bait.
  13. Thanks Paul.
  14. The latest NFSA Specimen Size list for Area D (can't find anything on the Angling Trust site), states that the specimen size for a flounder is 2lb 8oz, but a PBSBAC Record list that I have states the specimen size is 3lb. Which is correct, and which are we fishing to tomorrow? I thought the club fished to NFSA/Angling Trust sizes.
  15. I'll be fishing the comp on Saturday. That's "MegaByte" with me and Gerry (a non-member)

    gps? plotter?

Could be worth looking at JG Technologies in Weymouth, Here. I'd say go for the largest screen and most pixels you can afford. Don't forget the cost of the Chart, if it's not included.
  17. Hope the weather improves, I've got my pass for Saturday, so it's going to be my first comp.

    gps help

Paul I think you need "The Service Centre in Wareham". here If need be, I could drop it in during the day for you, if you can get it to me one evening.
  19. That would account for why I couldn't find the rules anywhere.
  20. Dave No doubt I'll be corrected if I'm wrong, but I read it as: 1. Any 7 hour period between 06:00 and 18:00 4. 2 on a boat applies to all club comps 5. Club waters are between the longtitude that passes through St Catherines Point and the Longtitude that passes through Portland Bill and south to France.
  21. Rory Adam's offer is too good to miss, he has a lot more experience on a warrior 165 than I have.
  22. Rory Take a look at Club training.
  23. Hi Rory We talked a bit at the meeting, if we can sort out a suitable time you're welcome to come out we me. I've got a Worrior 165, so very similar to your boat. Our main problem is that I have trouble getting out at weekends and you work during the week, but we'll see what we can do. As you've got a VHF radio, you need to do the course and get your certificate. It's well worth doing.

    Scales

Yes, as accurate as I can tell. Just got to catch something worth weighing

    Scales

I checked my digital scales when I bought them, but hadn't checked them again, until 2 minutes ago.
