Used to be able to get a device that looked like a conical spring that went into the filler pipe, allowed fuel through but not enough space for a tube, I don't know if they are still available, but you could probably make one from stainless wire.

Warrior 165 is still favourite, just making sure before I take the plunge. It's now 4 weeks since I sold Figment and I'm getting withdrawal symptons, so much so that I've got my son-in-law's boat in the drive to do some work on.

Does anyone have any experience or views on the Predator 165?

I still think the idea for the show is great, but managed all of five minutes as he realy is the most irritating, terrible angling, awful presenting, soft actor ever to be considered for any other form of tv. The programme is simply awful which is such a shame. All I can say is no third series plllllleeeeaaaasse and I am so happy that Wire in the blood has been axed too. Maybe he will begin to disappear quietly off our screens.... Don't sit on the fence Tom!!! I take it you didn't like it. I still think it's better than most of the rubbish that passes for entertainment nowadays!!

Thanks Dave, maybe I'll give them a miss at this stage, can always fit them later if I feel they are necessary. It'll reduce the cost a bit, which has got to help with getting financial approval!!!

My previous boat really benefitted from Bennett hydraulic tabs. I see from the Warrior site, that they offer Smart Tabs as an optional extra on the 165. Would these be a worthwhile investment on a 165 fitted with a 75hp E-Tec?

Figment has gone, just got back from delivering it to Clevedon. Just got to sell the trailer now.

Tom Figment is 20ft (22 if you count the outdrive). I always unloaded everything before bringing the boat home anyway. I expect Quest II has got Berths, Heads, Inner moulding etc. Just got to convince Diane that a new Warrior 165 package would be better than a second hand one.
