Can anyone confirm that the beam of an Endeavour 500 is 6'5"? My plan was to go for a Raider 18, but Gordon brought Fugazi to try it in my driveway last night, it was a bit tight, so I need to rethink and go for something with less beam. According to the Warrior site the 165 is 7', so that's out as it's the same beam as the Raider. It looks as though my options are Orkney 520 at 6' beam or Endeavour 500 at 6'5" beam (7" would make all the difference!!!!!).

Dave If the 12ft dinghy isn't too heavy you should be able to launch at Lake Road, Hamworthy by hand. 3 of us used to launch a Gemini inflatable, with 20hp motor there a few years ago by hand, it was a case of getting the balance right so there was no weight on the jockey wheel.

Keeping to the speed limit, it's 25 mins to the harbour (1.7nm) and about 45 mins to the Entrance (7nm). One advantage is you finish your trip in fresh water, so everything get a good flush through. And very handy for flounder fishing towards the end of the year.

Jim According to the book the Etec 75 has a full throttle operating range of 4,500 to 5,500. So you're a bit low.

Tom I can't help with the trailer, but if you're stuck for a tow vehicle, mine can tow 2.8 tonnes and I'm available anytime.
