  1. They obviously didn't have a safety chain (unbraked trailer) or safety cable (braked trailer).

    iPAD

Hi !! If you're interested in getting an iPad, I can get hold of them through a contact. The numbers are strictly limited and he has 10 iPads going for less than half price! First come - first served! He has already sold a couple (I've attached a picture so you can see what you're buying). They're from a cancelled NHS contract due to the cutbacks. Get back to me ASAP if you want one. Good luck..
  3. Spoil Ground, it's where the dredgers dump their waste (Spoil).
  4. A blind man walked into a pub, ordered a pint and said "do you want to hear a blonde joke. The barman sais I should warn you, I'm blonde, the bouncer is blonde and so is the guy sat next to you, do you still want to tell the joke? The blind man said "not likely, I'm not explaining it three times".
  5. Ask who she's comparing you with!!!!

Hi Martin, welcome to the club. Where are you located?
  7. According to his wife, you'd need a magnifying glass or do you mean the fish?
  8. Proposed cuts to the National Health Service. The British Medical Association has weighed in on the new Prime Minister David Cameron's health care proposals. The Allergists voted to scratch it, but the Dermatologists advised not to make any rash moves. The Gastroenterologists had a sort of a gut feeling about it, but the neurologists thought the Administration had a lot of nerve. The Obstetricians felt they were all labouring under a misconception. Ophthalmologists considered the idea short-sighted. Pathologists yelled, "Over my dead body!" while the Paediatricians said, "Oh, Grow up!" The Psychiatrists thought the whole idea was madness, while the Radiologists could see right through it. The Surgeons were fed up with the cuts and decided to wash their hands of the whole thing. The ENT specialists didn't swallow it, and just wouldn
  9. Hi Mike It's not a bluff, I was getting updates during the day and if he'd found any bream, he wouldn't have been able to keep it to himself.
  10. I've had him come alongside, while fishing in the harbour, to check that we weren't using sandeels and didn't have any bass on board. He also gave me a wheelhouse card with the minimum sizes, I pointed they were smaller than the list we were using.
  11. Fair enough, I thought it might have been his comment about 20 or so mackerel. His future son-in-law eats a dozen or so for breakfast!!
  12. If this is a go at Derek (Sea Sparkle), then I can assure you any fish he takes, are eaten fresh. (as this post started just after he posted a report in Club Members Chit Chat).

I'm after an iPAD for my grandson, so if anyone is thinking of upgrading to an iPAD 2 and wants to sell their current iPAD, I could be interested, if the price is right.
  19. I originally went for a low battery because you said that after trying to start it the tilt stopped working. This could also be due to a bad connection heating up. Clean and tighten the main battery connections at the battery and at the engine. Did your mate measure the battery voltage while you were trying to start it? You need to do this at the battery and then at the starter motor. If you measure a lower voltage at the starter motor than at the battery you've got a voltage drop, probably a loose or dirty connection causing a volt drop when you try to draw any current. A volt drop could also be caused by a faulty battery isolating switch, if you've got one, bypass it and try again.
  20. 2 Questions: 1. How accurate is the meter? 2. Was the measurement taken at rest? If the 12.5v is at rest, it's only 70% charged.
  21. As Rob said, Flat Battery. Did you charge it when you bought it, new batteries are not cycled, they're filled with acid and flash charged. Always a good tip to cycle a new battery several times. Nearly all battery failures are due to lack of cycling.
  22. Happy Birthday Charlie and Dave. Better late than never!!!
