Had a good day out today. Launched at Cobbs at about 10:15, a little later than planed, which meant we had red lights when we reached the bridge and had to wait for it to open at 10:30.
Headed out towards Ballard and tried for some mackerel, without success, so motored across to Bmth Pier where we were into mackerel straight away, caught enough for tea and met up with Derek on Sea Sparkle.
After lunch we headed back into the harbour and picked up a mooring close to Sea Sparkle. We sat back, relaxed and tried for a plaice, lots of nibbles but no real bites until low tide then I had a good bite which turned out to be a 1lb 4oz plaice. Not to be left out my crew (Gerry) followed about 20mins later with a 1lb 3oz plaice. Decided to call it a day at 15:15 as Gerry pulled in a 1lb 8oz flounder.
