  1. For what its worth I Carry Engine spares, Belts, Spare impellor, Oil and Fuel filters, fuses. Engine and stern drive Oil, engine coolant. Boat spares Lamps for Nav lights, deck lights, fuses for bilge Pp's electrical tape, various crimp on fittings, various lengths sizes of hoses and jubillee clips. cable ties, rubber bungs, rags some sealant, General purpose grease, spray oil, and anti moisture spray and of course most important a good collection of tools No point in being a Marine Engineer and carrying half a ton of spares if you do not have tools available. Hope that helps Charlie, [i am sure as the boat grows older so the list will become longer.]

  12. Adam I can not help with the trailer But for six months from April I am sure I should be able to help with the bilge supports, as seen in my front garden Charlie
  13. Welcome Duncan I am sure you will soon see that last nights meeting was not normal, the committee try very hard to ghet through the formalities promptly then on to various discussions and presentations before dropping down to the bar I hope all goes well with the new boat, see you afloat Charlie
  14. Nice one Gordon We too could not resist the weather after a few bumpy rides at weekends Dan had tried three times to get his mate Tom [Jnr Member] his first Conger so we headed to a wreck for the end of the flood a couple of eels to me and at least we had shown hin what the bites looked like Inshore a bit for the middle of the tide and Dan had the first Bream on the new boat. 2lb 14 not a bad start and lovely for tea tonight as the tide eased we decided to check some Numbers, could not find one but found two others. the tide started to ease so on a calm sea we went out to the wreck alongside enticer. although their rods seemed to indicate they had the prime spot we had a few with Tom getting two Congers the best was over 20lb. I think Dan had the best with one that snapped the hook as I tried to get it in the net, [about 35lb] My best weighed 29lb. Lovely day for fishing, even though it was a rush to get the start of the flood then back to Poole and spruced up for the AGM Charlie

    Lead Moulds

moulds I have But can anyone help with a decent burner My old tar heating ring seems to really soot up everything Any experts out there want to tender a solution or theory? Out of interest I have natural gas , butane and Propane available as fuel and have tried the first two with little differance. Charlie
  21. Plenty of contacts for boat transporters at work if you need them Dave But they are not cheap Hard to hire a decent trailer nowadays but some transport companies can use van and trailer to keep prices down, Charlie
  22. Certainly stirred up the bottom a bit Those that have not been before note the water colour. Forget your attractor beads and artificials, its all down to scent trails, and the local worms are lug. Charlie
  23. I thought pictures like that were thankfully a thing of the past. I wonder if they are trading up to a trawler Charlie
  24. Good luck with the sale and change of boat Mark Charlie
  25. A lot of the more powerfull boats at work use a spray on antifouling It is marketed for props, shafts and P brackets as well as stern drives so it should stick, Sold as an aerosol, One of those boats boasts about 900 HP [twin 450;s] Charlie
