Cunning Plan 1 Fish of the month prize is a tackle voucher for Poole angling centre Not sure that even a non fishing spouse would believe you would get the voucher in anticipation of future fish catches, or that you can get a rod and reel for
  3. Well done Dave, If I had known last Sunday was your last trip I would have taken a few pictures when we saw you on the patch. Here is one from a few seasons ago for you Sad to see them go but if they lead to bigger /better the sadness goes fast Happy hunting Charlie
  4. Hi again Logged on my pc this time I had a simular problem to Craig on GW, but the clear bowl made it easy to spot that the system had water in it , so it was easily drained and engine restarted. That is why I changed the bowl on the new boat, to what I believe is now a transparent plastic [not glass anymore] actually the bowl was a freebie from someone who had to change it because of coding but i had to buy the fitting kit and seals. Charlie
  5. Welcome Derek I hope we can assist in some way as you get back afloat on your longliner Tight lines Charlie
  6. Tony at select Marine is one of the Clubs sponsors and can usualy sort out a price for Club Members on mariners Charlie
  7. You should see the training tank in the RNLI College when they wind up the wind machines it gets so rough it makes the experianced crews sea sick They also black out the room, have strobe machines and huge speakers making it sound like a storm as well as feel like one. They can invert the RIB in the tank I believe that the RNLI consider it safer than taking a boat out on the sea as they used to. I wanted to have a go, but they only do RNLI crews Charlie
  8. I hope that it goes so smoothly that you can do a picture diary I was so busy that it did not get done, I have loads of Photo's and could do it now "After the event" if I knew how to get the whole folder on to the gallery Charlie
  9. Nice one Not sure I could stand a full day afloat with him I know Tom has so perhaps he is not as bad as he appears to be Charlie
  10. Aqua Blue or Blue fish???? I hope it all goes well If I can help with advice or suppliers please get in touch, Charlie
  11. Awsome Trevor Hell of a training session Not Powerboat Level 2 that one. No doubt in a special area RM coxns do their surf training at Instow Devon as there is never enough surf at Poole. Charlie
  12. Well done Bob It will be good to see her locally Did you leave the marks in the plotter? Best of luck withthe new one Charlie
  13. We are as keen now as ever and if we have space I am sure we will get takers Not sure if I will be the one to get a bigun onboard as we will need to learn a few tricks of the trade marks for bait etc Bring it on Charlie
  14. I got min efrom James at salterns he offered good discount and launch PDI sea trail etc I would also get the quote from the boat builder as some of them get outstanding discounts from Volvo Charlie
  15. Some big waves there Adam The third one is hell of an advert for the Interceptors and the last one shows that Pilots earn their wages. Looks like the return trip last Sunday charlie
  16. Well done mate I did not think that ether boat would be hard to sell considering the excellent condition they were kept in. Onwards with the new project, Iam sure you wil make a great job of it. You and Bob are welcome onboard when the lure of the sea gets too much. Sam will have joined up by the 48 hr comp so perhaps we could arrange something then. Charlie
  17. Nice set Mike It will look good on the boat. I nearly fitted one of those as the plotter with the fishfinder module, and had seriously considered getting a second later to split the FF and plotter on two large screens. But I decided to stick with the lowrance / Navionics partnership that I had on GW Charlie

  20. I am working on Sat So that usually means that the rest of you can have a calm day, and I get to sit around all day waiting for a breeze for the sailors. Charlie

    Chuffed !

Hi Stuart Welcome back to boating and to the Club If you join in on here and/or at the meetings you will learn loads about boating safely and fishing locally. My other two snippets of advice would be to try and stay patient and pick days when the weather is good to remember/learn the skills. secondly perhaps consider a RYA level 2 powerboat course it should give you an excellent start to hours of fun afloat. Charlie
  23. I hope that they manage to do a better job of implementing this than the changes to the bass sizes. Charlie
  24. Is anyone going out at the weekend. The various weather sites are giving differant signals, but I am keen to take the boat for a spin if I see a window. It was Dan's birthday earlier in the week and I am sure he would be keen to finish the week with a conger trip . Especially as he had to endure exams and course work. Charlie
  25. Hi Bob I sold GW through Boats and Outboards I put the one photo in and mentioned in the text that many more photo's are available. I also wrote a few pages on word included some photo's and filed it on my PC, I then attached it to my short reply to all that emailed me from B and O. Hope that helps Charlie
