  1. As a regular visitor to Italy, I'm always fascinated by the variety of birds of prey seen there. Your description could fit any number but my guess would be one of the kestrels or any one of the falcons, of which there are several. Any chance of a photo? Terry.
  2. Belated happy cake day, Alun. No internet where we have been in Scotland so just catching up. Terry.
  3. No need to worry, when we eventually leave the EU it will probably go back to 33p a ltr. 😂 Terry.
  4. There's generally nothing much wrong with boats that can't be put right with money. Lots of money. A never ending demand for money. But it's still fun when it all works! 😊
  5. I had to pay for it but it is a really good day, I commend it to the house. But, as Ian says, it is London! Terry.
  6. The also do an excellent fish cooking programme which can include filleting, etc. It does, however, start at about 06.30 with a tour of the market so you would have to be keen. Terry.
  7. Oddly, it's usually a condition that you don't go out after dark but you can come back in after dark if you're caught out. Terry.
  8. You wish! Terry.
  9. Just a sentence from an email received from Mark at Alderney Angling today. 'Been a few flatties about, last set of small tides I had 30 followed by a day of 17'. Reasonably optimistic. Terry.
  10. Terry is.................quietly optimistic!😊
  11. All together now, fingers crossed! 😕 Terry.
  12. There's always one! 😡 Terry.
  13. Just the job! Terry
  14. Terence is not amused, double git! 😀 Terry.
  15. Your very own Cake Day, enjoy. Terry.
  16. Cheeky Git!!! 😒😁 Terry
  17. I have got fed up with struggling with a large (70ltr) Icey Tec cool box full of ice and, hopefully, fish when I go on friends boats on pontoons. I bought a trolley but it is not really up to the weight involved so have searched for a better solution. I think I have found it in the Mighty Max Cart which is very strongly built, adjustable in that the base extends and has optional extras for carrying additional gear. Not cheap but for quality, what is. I commend it to the house. The picture shows it in the closed position, there are two more options on the extension mechanism. Terry.
  18. Happy cake day young'un. Terry.
  19. I have a new smaller one going begging if it's any good to you Jim. 320kgs working weight, 960kgs breaking. Terry
  20. I always use an Alderney ring system for retrieval, it is not that difficult if you know the rules. Example is generally the best form of instruction so I would advise going out with another member who will show you how. I'm sure you will get plenty of offers. Terry.
  21. Also a good day in near ideal conditions, it was good s to see so many club members out and about. Pete (Gaffa) was good company for the day and did his bit adding to the catch. We sat it out a bit longer down the Southbourne end but when it went quiet, we made our way back to Bournemouth/Sandbanks where we enjoyed more sport in balmy conditions. Oddly, our only by catch was a small wrasse to me and we ended up with a couple of dozen nice plaice of a good size with only 3 small ones. I did hear you, Stuie and did shout back but you obviously couldn't hear me, I will have to check out the radio; where were you? Terry.
  22. Must be correct, the bass meister told me about it today. Terry.
  23. I shall be joining in the fun, see you all tomorrow. 😊 Terry.
  24. This is all getting a bit crowded, glad I can go out midweek. 😊
