  1. The speed on the instrument panel of your car is deliberately lower than the true speed. Otherwise, you could be driving along at 30 MPH shown and get done for speeding at say 33 MPH and you could blame the car company.
  2. No 2, purely because I prefer not to have to cough up money to keep the boat in a marina each year and a beamier boat wont fit on my driveway and I like the flexibility of being able to trail to different locations.

    Prop Bags?

Also in need of a prop bag. I have been thinking of trying to get an old mail bag.
  4. Makes all the right sounds and they are after our thoughts on what they want to achieve. Does imply that anglers will have to share in the cost of implementing measures, which I am personally happy to do, provided that a "level playing field" is achieved ( and it does state this as and objective as well ). The cynical side of me thinks it will be scuppered by not taking the measure necessary ( as is currently the case ).
  5. Selling the X-Trail as I don't need a 4x4 to tow Neo. 2.2 DCI model ( which is the 136 BHP latest model - economical for a 4x4 getting 37 MPG on work run. Has tinted rear windows, cruise control, climate control etc. All leather seats. Panoramic sunroof. Anyone interested before I put on Exchange and Mart. 18 months old. Had from new - 46,000 miles ( all motorway ). 18 months manufacturers warranty left ( or 60,000 miles ). Very good condition apart from dink in bumper ( from reversing the trailer ), which I will have repaired if offered the asking price. Looking for
  6. 4 club boats out from Lymington today. Nipper went for a "crack of dawn" start and headed around to a mark on the Needles ( strangely near to where I caught my cod ). Neo with PJ as crew, Cimerra with Soleman as crew and Splash Out with Bob's Kayaking friend as crew, all headed out at a later time. Day started badly for us when I remembered that I had left half the bait at home, but Bob had spare squid so cadged some from him ( didnt matter as it turned out ). Nice steam to the bridge then much more choppy heading over to Nipper. Not quite as bad as yesterday but lumpy none the less. ( Arrived to quips of "surprised you are out here with that dodgy engine of yours .." ). Sat it out for 3 hours or so and not so much as a bite, so headed around the corner to meet back up with the others. One bite all day to PJ and he managed to miss it ( because we were looking at the pics from AWOL on the camera at the time ) - looked very "bass like" though. Nice sitting in the sun and listening to the banter on the radio ( the fishing was that bad ). Back to the slipway and almost lost Neo when the painter came off - gave others and bit of fun though !
  7. Video of speedboats taken from AWOL. AWOL Video clip
  8. We were on Southbourne Rough and it was pretty rough. ( I stand corrected on my windspeed estimate ). However, Martin's new boat handles it really well and the waves don't look so big from a greater height Even got to race some speedboats back in through the harbour Rich, I wouldnt fancy West Lepe Buoy on a strong easterly. Forecast on TV has light winds to the east of the region and light winds to the west of the region with higher winds stuck right on the IOW We are going to let you tell use what it is like out there.
  9. Mike, These seem quite reasonable Flares But they are Paines Wessex ones as well, which are really good, despite having had a recall of the white ones
  10. Bob, I've put your gelcoat for your boat in the back of my boat next to the E-Tec. It's sitting near to my fuel filter but I didn't think you would mind if it glowed in the dark
  11. All the best Tom.
  12. Not too lumpy on the boat I was fishing on Wouldn't have wanted to be out fishing on Neo today though, well choppy. Not a breeze here in Highcliffe either, can be well deceptive looking at trees ( although the tall ones tell the story ). Doggies to us. F3 to F4 I would say
  13. You can phone around for your own crew next time Paul ( Satisified 100% reliable E-Tec owner, so far .... )
  14. So it is :- Image 4
  15. Simon, John Packer will go with you - I will PM his number to you ( just spoke to him ).

    No Justice

Rich, You should chat with PJ. He had to watch me carry on fishing ( and catching ), whilst his wife was on the phone pleading for him to come home as the washing machine was flooding the kitchen. Decided it was a good idea to return !
  17. That is almost believable as well
  18. Mine is one as well, but haven't had any letter sent. Probably pop into LandJ to get it sorted.
  19. Drop in the ocean ( excuse the pun ). Worldwide it is estimated that 2,000 to 10,000 containers are lost every year from ships. As an example :- After Typhoon Babs in 1999 the MV APL China lost 406 containers containing
  20. 7-30 AM at slip ? I presume you are coming along as well Simon. ( Also think Enticer is going as well ). ( We are referring to Sunday ).
  21. Crikey - Is Glen Caines boat bigger than his existing one ( and by that your's is as big/bigger than Valkyrie ). Impressive.

    Happy Birthday

    All the best Martin.
  24. Paul, Currently banking on you being available to crew on Sunday. Do you have a "2 day pass" then ( If not then no problem as I will follow Nipper / Splash Out )
  25. Martin, Can I come along Saturday ? It is looking as if Gordon ( M ) cant make Saturday, so a toss up between towing Neo to Lymington for 2 days in a row and a trip on the new boat. No contest ! Still got the tail end of the cold I had, but will be fine come Saturday.
