I'll let you guys know what its like! James

    Tope trip

Hi All Made it out yesterday for a try for the tope, We fished a new mark 18miles from Christchurch and we manged only one of about 12lbs with several dropped runs and a couple of congers! mackerel were really hard to find with only about a dozen all day! So a change of plan for the next slack and headed to an old favorite mark 5 miles inshore and found a few more fish, no monsters but manged a 20lber on a flat calm sea A very long lean and hard fighting male but Its going to be a bit out staged buy the monsters caught in alderney this weekend!!! James

  16. Hi all Sorry Ive been in hiding! I'm selling the house, buying a new one, me and the misses work full time and we've got 2 kids!! were does all the time go?? So as soon as the house is sold I will be able (hopefully! to return to a normal life!) Doesn't look like Ive missed much tho!!! So the reason for this post is Dawn Raider is going onto the Quomps at Christchurch, not to far from "OTTER" and I'm in need of a small tender, not fussed about the condition, a shiny one would look out of place with the other's down there! Can any one help?? Many thanks James
  17. Im afraid I saw him and watched him messing around on the bar at low water for 45mins as we waited, he was in a small grey rib/rubber duck! he didnt seem to be in distress and was only 100yards from us but kept wizzing back out to sea, we wondered what he was upto as there was no way he would get up the run at dead LW, he had a fishing rod and landing net in the boat with him!!he then vanished we didn't realise at the time that he could have gone over we thought he went in to the beach!or back out fishing! I phoned the coastguard this morning, aparently we were the last people to see him. I gave them your number Alun as you came in after us incase you saw something too. James
