Surprisingly, it takes me under 3/4 an hour from arriving at Wareham to rounding brownsea castle during the summer. It normally takes a little longer getting back (as I'm not quite so eager). No faffing with trailers and slipways.

The weather looks favourable, the tides look reasonable and i will have earned my brownie points on Saturday by taking my missus out ALL day and missing the football :-) .... so .... my plan is to leave Wareham around 8am and get back to Wareham around 8pm. What do you suggest for the time between?

I do believe we have many members that are not local (we certainly did when I was a member last time round).... maybe someone else would have a better idea of that?

Welcome Adam, I might be slightly biased as I was a member a long time ago and let it lapse (due to never managing to get out fishing)! Im back to it now, and have re-joined. The wealth of experience within the club is huge. Theres a whole new world in this forum to club members. Its worth the money alone.

i had every intention of being out, but my "crew" went to Poole Harbour Festival yesterday and text me at midnight saying he was walking home and wouldn't be in any fit state for fishing today! It would seem my good lady had a visit to the mother in law planned .... so guess what Im doing today!

I'm out with my mate again Thursday to see it we can improve on zero fish! I'm almost certainly going to forget the miles on Thursday and just head to old harry for some bream. I have a sneaking suspicion I'll regret asking this ..... But what is this "secret ray mark" I see mentioned regularly!?!?

I'm having a bit of a tidy up and I have a small anchor free to whoever thinks they can use it. 2.5 kg, looks unused. Collect Upton or I might even get to a meeting some time and can bring it there.

Ha ha. I did that. Fell off the thing nearly every time I used it! Sold it to some guy from southbourne who used it with his dog. (Hopefully him and his dog had better Ballance than me)!!
